Template talk:License enforcement request

Question

I do not understand this template. Is it meant to cause attribution to Commons (good!)? Is it meant to cause attribution to a Username pseudonym? The latter could be confusing to the violating editor you are writing to. They might not understand that some of us use pseudonyms. They would also have a hard time understanding that we work here for free, yet "we" want credit. Also, do any of us really have the authority to write to another entity as if we represent Wikimedia Commons? I think not. Probably, this would work better if it came out of the (over-loaded) GC's office. Doug youvan (talk) 03:19, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
