User:J JMesserly/dessertTopping

As I explained on my wikipedia page, this is my real world name and that under an alias I have made a large number of contributions to Commons. I believe I was a member in good standing and authored a scheme that was nominated as policy, and shepherded the consensus building. I was a trusted user and ran maintenance bots that changed tens of thousands of pages. My participation lapsed due to events in the real world and I may or may not be active here for a while. Unfortunately, because I have also used my alias for various political activities on the net, I would really rather not have a direct linkage between my old nickname and my current name. I know I could have all my stats transfered but frankly I could care less about edit counts. Anyway my old identity is no big secret, and if someone feels they really must confirm, then they can always send me a private mail and I'd be happy to confirm it. I'd appreciate your discretion with this information though. So if you already suspect, as Chevy Chase says- you are both right. It's a dessert topping and a floor wax.
