Please help me remove File:松陰論道圖.jpg from ja:陳太宗. According to [1], it is a person of Song dynasty, not 陳太宗. Japanese Wikipedia is blocked in China, so I can't do it.--112.5.236.142 07:19, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

そらみみさん、こんにちは。以前File:2010-10-2 宇陀川 - panoramio (2).jpgなどで奈良県カテゴリに指定してくださってありがとうございます。その後宇陀川カテゴリを新設し指定しなおしたのですが、最近のそらみみさんのご編集の後、宇陀市から宇陀川へのカテゴリが行われなくなり、宇陀市の地理情報が欠落してしましました。宇陀川関係はもともと奈良県関連のカテゴリだけしか付与されていませんでしたが、一般的に川や地形を写した画像は各自治体の地理情報を含むことが多くあります。これらのファイルは近畿地方の多くの自治体で自治体カテゴリに直入れされていることが非常に多く見られていたため、各カテゴリはファイルで溢れかえり機能していませんでした。その仕分けに難儀することが多く、自治体固有の地形カテゴリを作成しカテゴリ指定しました。現在でも酷いままの都道府県カテゴリ市町村カテゴリはありますが、近畿地方はおかげさまを持ちまして一段落付きました。前述の宇陀川関係を例に取れば、各ファイルから宇陀市の風景情報が欠落してしまいました。河川の画像では多くの場合、水系別分類と市町村毎の風景を表した撮影地分類がそれぞれ別個に存在すると考えています。建物のように一つの各市町村内にとどまる存在はBuildings in 各市町村の一つで建物分類と市町村毎の風景を表した撮影地情報を完了することも多いですが、河川は複数の市町村都道府県を流れることが多いので、河川カテゴリを付与するだけでは、市町村の風景情報を補うカテゴリがありません。例えば、京都府宇治市内で宇治川を撮影した写真を、淀川カテゴリに入れることは間違いでないのですが、同時に宇治市関係のカテゴリが外れてしまうと、宇治市カテゴリから宇治市内の宇治川写真を探す選択肢がなくなり、淀川へ飛んで探すということになってしまいます。これは宇治川に限らず、淀川流域の自治体はその自治体の淀川画像を、各自治体カテゴリで検索できず、一旦淀川カテゴリまで飛んで多くの写真の中から探さなければならないということになります。その写真が宇治市の風景を表している場合、そのカテゴリは間違いではないので、おそらくまた宇治市のカテゴリに直入れする人が出てくることもあるでしょう。このような事情と意図から近畿地方の画像では各市町村の地形カテゴリを付与しています。説明が長くなりましたが、カテゴリ整理の際は各画像の上位下位カテゴリの関係を確認し、欠落した情報があれば各画像ごとにチェックし再カテゴリしていただけないでしょうか？非常に精力的にご活動でもあり全ての確認が此方で追い付かず申し訳ありませんが、よろしくお願い致します。--Categorizing (talk) 06:29, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Categorizing: ご指摘ありがとうございます。一応私自身は宇陀川の名張市内の写真を提供しましたが、それをCategory:Geography of Uda, Naraというカテゴリの下位カテゴリに入れるのは正しくないと思いましたので、Category:Uda RiverからCategory:Geography of Uda, Naraを外しました。そもそも宇陀川や宇治川は宇陀市内あるいは宇治市内だけで完結する川ではありませんし、自治体のカテゴリに入れたら信濃川・木曽川などは何十個の自治体のカテゴリに入れないといけないので、このような複数の自治体をまたがる河川については私見ではカテゴリ全体を自治体のカテゴリに入れるべきではないです。ただし、個別の写真についてはCategorizingさんのご指摘が正しいと思いますので、以後気をつけます。--そらみみ (talk) 07:41, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for categorizing so many of the photographs I uploaded recently and in 2018. To be honest, I'm just to tired to add categories after typing descriptions. Also I'm astounded to find that you can upload over a thousand images at a monthly basis. Thanks for your contribution!

- That is Chinese and not English. If you want to do this, then "high school" will maybe be misunderstood by native English speakers. @Kai3952: According to the webpage of Taichung City Government, Huxin Pavilion is a part of Riyue Lake. According to en:Taichung Park, these two pavilions are in the lake. So I think it's better to make the Category:Taichung Park Lake Pavilion as a sub-category of Category:Riyue Lake (Taichung Park). @Kai3952: I think descriptions on this website should not be evidences to judge whether they are the same station, as Taipei Metro didn't say they are 2 different stations or the same station. Taipei City and New Taipei City also didn't mention that they are 2 different stations. I think I know what's happened here. When I set these up, I looked at the wrecks index and got what I thought was the IMO number from there. - Hi! I tried with Google translate. Bad names is in my opinion a minor problem. If the file have a good description and good categories then it is enough to make files usable. Renaming files that are moved from ja.wiki to Commons will create more work. Because if the file is not deleted on ja.wiki when the file is renamed on Commons then the local file will stop CommonsDelinker from replacing the file on ja.wiki. That means you have to change the pages manually on ja.wiki. Besides most users on Commons do not understand Japanese so they will have no clue what the name says anyway :-) So don't feel bad about the many files someone put in the category :-D --MGA73 (talk) 15:30, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have done a stop-gap correction to this map [2] to prevent readers from being given the false impression that China controls Arunachal Pradesh. However, I think that the county boundary lines China wants to use in that region could be drawn as white lines (in contrast with the black color). The work I did was approximate. Let me know if you have any thoughts about what should be done. Also, James Shoal is depicted as an island, which it is not- should it be removed? I need you to stop constantly doing incorrect category moves as you done here and much more. You obviously don't know the official name of the station but you feel that you are correct for moving the category to an incorrect name. I could tell that you obviously didn't do any research on what the official name is because not only have you not provided any evidence on what the official name even is, but the Beijing Subway website absolutely contradicts what you have to say. Now thanks to your incorrect moves, I have to go through the entire COM:HISTMERGE process to revert your moves, which is an absolute pain compared to reverting them myself. The more that I discover your moves the more you are pissing me off. The next time you even bother moving a page, do some deep research on what the true name currently is, before performing such a move. You also need to provide proof in the edit summary that your name is correct. "According to signboard" is a piss poor reason on moving, especially when nobody could verify what you are saying. 「まるざさ」表記は誤りではない、という結論でよろしいでしょうか。ご自分のよく知らない分野に手を出すべきではないとは申しませんが、よく知らない分野であればこそ、しっかりとした事前の確認が必要になるのではありませんか。調べきれなかったとしても、即時改名するのではなく事前に改名提案を出すことで、詳しい人から意見を聞くこともできるはずです。改名前の事前提案については4年前にもお願いをして、そのときはそらみみさんご自身「今後カテゴリを移動する前には提案を出すように注意します」とお約束いただいています。他の利用者からも同じ原因で注意を受けていらっしゃるようですから、今後はくれぐれも気をつけていただきたいと思います。私からのお願いはこれで二度目です。三度目はないとお考えください。

But there is a circular notice published by former Ministry of Railways of China in 2012, which says that since 1 September 2012, for all China Railway stations, "East", "West", "North", "South" shouldn't be translated into English, but using pinyin instead, such as "Beijingxi Railway Station". Hi! Category:Unidentified subjects in Japan has 1,490 files today. If you have some time to spare you are very welcome to have a look at this huge amount of files. But at first I think those files should be checked if they are FoP files, because I have found some files was deleted from Commons because they are copyrighted, but they were moved to Commons without discussion.   - I nominated some files for deletion. I think that files like File:Daikoku5734.JPG is okay because it is a simple shape and some text. So I do not think that it is above COM:TOO. @MGA73: For example, this one is not so good in my opinion, because the fonts of Kanji maybe copyrighted, and the stele was set in S61 (1986) by Ministry of Construction. I was told that Japan have a high level of Threshold of originality so most text is not copyrighted. But I'm not an expert in Japanese copyright law so I can't be sure. If any files is deleted on Commons it is easy to restore the local files on Japanese Wikipedia. So the files will not be lost. --MGA73 (talk) 20:03, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

@MGA73: At first, "TOO in Japan is high" means that "data", "idea" or "imitation of other works" does not have copyright (see https://www.bunka.go.jp/seisaku/chosakuken/seidokaisetsu/gaiyo/chosakubutsu.html). So for texts, if the work is not just data, and it was established within 70 years, it is copyrighted in my opinion. Also, it really happens that some files got lost, like ja:ファイル:クエの像.jpg, if nobody found that it was deleted.--そらみみ (talk) 03:32, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Kaganer: Thank you for asking me. About the Chinese name, they are the same in Pinyin (both Xilinhe, see Wiktionary 鳞[5] and 磷[6]). So the possibility of wrong typing is very high in my opinion as a Chinese speaker.

According to the location of this file, this station is located in Dongning, Heilongjiang. According to zhwiki, 细鳞河站 is a railway station in Dongning, Heilongjiang.
Also, according to "People Rail.com", which is the online version of "People Rail Newspaper" (人民铁道报) run by the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., shows 细鳞河 can be found 2 times, but 细磷河 cannot be found.
As this station does not serve passengers, I can't find it on 12306.cn, which is a website for booking rail tickets in China, but by using Baidu map, which is 1 of the most used map website in China, I can find only 1 "Xilinhezhan" in pinyin, which is showed as "细鳞河站". If you type "Xilinhezhan" in the search bar, it can be showed below it.

Japan has frequent exchanges with Taiwan in many ways, however, there are many categories for Japan that have not been created, so I often can't find the exact category I'm looking for on Commons. 很難找到照片？你該不會是順著分類，進去一層，再下去一層，往下一個一個找吧？如果是，那麼你找照片是用錯方法了。維基共享資源右上角有一個白色橫框，那個是搜尋引擎，用來給你找照片。方法是輸入關鍵字，建議用英文字輸入會搜尋較為精確，搜尋引擎自動將按照你給予的關鍵字找到你可能想要的照片。因為維基共享資源的設計，就是依照分類與照片文件名稱，還有作者提供的照片描述，搜尋引擎是這樣下去找到照片的。因此，我通常是輸入關鍵字，維基共享資源會直接幫我跳躍到我想要看到的照片，甚至找分類也可以，節省很多時間，所以我沒有遇過你說分類過細很難找照片的困擾--125.230.87.246 06:27, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

您好，因為您告訴我您想在照片添加一些分類，但是這幾個分類名「台灣道路龍門架」、「台灣圓環夜景」、「台灣道路禁止標示牌」看起來都是在維基百科項目中沒有對應條目的更為細分的分類（比如維基百科有zh:臺灣公路，但沒有zh:臺灣公路龍門架），我就覺得這些分類以及其中的照片不太好找（比如通過zh:臺灣公路進入Wikimedia commons後似乎很難通過下級分類找到「臺灣公路龍門架」分類），所以就想說一下最好放一兩個通過維基百科條目能簡單找到的分類，不過我當時沒有說得很明確，非常抱歉，並沒有指責您的意思。--そらみみ (talk) 15:52, 5 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

這似乎不算突然吧？是你回答我，只不過我沒有在當天就回應你。我明白你的意思，你應該是想說，只要是沒有對應的語言，就是維基百科還沒有建立條目，那麼我就不應該建立分類，否則此舉就是過度分類，因此你的立場是認為這必須要阻止？舉例來說，Women對應的條目是zh:女人，而Category:Unidentified_women、Category:Women_with_objects、Category:Women_by_setting、Category:Women_by_posture、Category:Women_by_activity等都是沒有跨語言連結的頁面，依照你的意思來看，只有前者才會被保留，後者則理當被刪除，而且不也應該被建立，是嗎？如果真是如此，Wikimedia commons有這麼多人，他們怎麼可能會沒有一個阻止，反而還是順沿著分類繼續細分下去，所以我愈來愈感到困惑了。如果我不應該依照照片顯示的人事物進行添加類別，Wikimedia commons有沒有一個指導說明，總不可能真的每一次跑去中文維基找一找，然而再每一次跑回來Wikimedia commons這裡，這也太累人了吧？--125.230.88.69 10:46, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

我只是說作為我來說大概不會這樣分類，並沒有想阻止別人的意思。而且女性的照片都放在「女性」分類裡面會造成該分類中照片太多，也不好找到，這也是我之前說過的，所以才有人會建立「未確認身分的女人」「與物品在一起的女人」「不同場景的女人」「不同姿勢的女人」「不同活動的女人」這些分類來分流。另外如果符合某一個很細的分類的照片足夠多的話，我也不反對建立這些分類，只是希望能夠讓查找的人方便找到這些分類。そらみみ (talk) 10:58, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

從你這樣回答，其實我看得出來，你是對別人建立分類是很接受，唯獨你對我是頗有聲音。我依照照片顯示的人事物去添加類別，你就會說類別中會累積很多照片，造成你很難找到照片。我只不過是添加類別，而且類別是別人建立的，我是順著前人去使用。類別的存在就是給大家使用，本來就是會累積照片。我不清楚我哪裡冒犯你，為何唯獨我使用類別，你就會說成好像是我害你很難找到照片，你未免也太抬舉我？我一個人在這二個月的編輯量有限，實在沒有這麼多，不可能偉大到有你說如此本事，可以害你很難找到照片。如果你確信我的行為需要受到阻止，我非常樂意接受第三方公正的聲音，因為我相信公正的聲音會給予清楚的指導，為何別人編輯會沒事，而我編輯就會有事，這中間的分別何在，他們想必會告訴我。--125.230.88.69 12:15, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
