About Mike Ness

Good evening Aconcagua :). The Mike Ness image was pretty much of a testing and a mistake (I'm starting to read all the copyrights documentation and stuff regarding it on the help pages) So next time i can do it right. Is there a way to delete your own images? Viø 22:35, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Good morning Viø, the image will be deleted seven days after the copyright template was added. There's no way to do it yourself. But you can add the {{copyvio}}-template for speedy deletion (see here) --Aconcagua 05:57, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Image reviews

Hi, you put several of the images I uploaded under review. I got permission from each of the authors of the images to be able to use it under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, which they agreed to. All of their permissions can be found on the talk page of the images. Am I doing something incorrectly, or should I be asking them to release it under a creative commons license instead? If you could please explain what exactly I should ask the authors for, I could hopefully start avoiding this. Thanks for your time. --Nehrams2020 19:11, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi Nehrams,
sorry, I hadn't noticed that you put the permissions on the talk pages! I just saw that you uploaded images from flickr without the review tamplate. Maybe you can send the permissions to permissions@wikimedia.org, too, to be sure that the images won't be deleted.

I included in the template that permissions are on the talk page, should I move the permissions to the image page itself? That way, any other editors would immediately see it. Also, do you think that I should continue to be asking for the GFDL license or switch to the creative commons? If you could, please explain the difference between the two. Thanks! --Nehrams2020 20:10, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
No, I don't think it's necessary to move the permissions to the image pages. Not every editor is as blind as I was ;-)
Both GFDL and CC are licences that can be used on the Commons. You can read about them here and here.

Categories

Please categorize your pictures! (As Category:Tremezzo) Thnaks --Beyond silence 20:53, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

All of my pictures are in at least one category. Except for those pics which are added to existing galleries without a corresponding cat (as often seen with plants). The Tremezzo pic was in the Tremezzo gallery. --Aconcagua 21:39, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
I think good to take in a category too! --Beyond silence 01:34, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
So do I! :-) But there are subject areas on Commons where the "philosophy" about category or gallery seems to be different. If possible I put all of my pics in categories. --05:42, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay! ;) --Beyond silence 05:51, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

{{Rotate}}

Hallo Aconcagua,

--Aconcagua 19:58, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
So?--Luxo 20:09, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Jo :-) --Aconcagua 20:12, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
