Use of Karnak HieroglyphicsEdit

I just downloaded the Karnak Hieroglyphics image for use in a digital book that I am creating for my 6th grade students. The "book" will not be distributed through any channel other than from me to my students or to colleague teacher for use in his or her classroom. Thank you for your contribution. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2606:A000:4F91:EF00:A136:200A:926F:E5EA (talk) 23:00, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Use of Sousse mosaic circus horsesEdit

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for providing this image. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sousse_mosaic_circus_horses.JPG

My name is Han and I work for Lion TV in London. We are making a TV programme about Roman chariots and we would like to use this image in our programme. We will credit you in the end of the film, we don't anticipate any issues of that but at this stage, we cannot guarantee it on all versions of the programme as it is subject to broadcasters approval.

My email address is HAN.ZHANG@LIONTV.CO.UK. Please email me if you would like to know more details about our programme and need to have further discussions. Thank you very much.

Use of Platzer Motte B-3 D-MAIL im Verkehrsmuseum DresdenEdit

Thank you very much for this image. We used it in a blog article published on August 3rd, 2017, referring to the "Day of the E-Mail". In Germany, there is a federal project called "De-Mail". This was meant to securely sent e-mails which also will be accepted as official correspondence, i.e. when writing to an administrative office. Still, this project is far from being productive. Our blog article criticizes this fact and, therefore, refers to the "D-MAIL" located in the Verkehrsmuseum Dresden.

Dear Ad Meskens, thank you very much for uploading the DO-228 picture taken in Antwerp. I will include this picture in my dissertation as an example of a platform I worked with as the available pictures at our institute unfortunately cannot compare to the quality of your work. Naturally, the copyright will be credited as desired. In addition, the dissertation / PhD thesis is of no commercial use, but will be publicly available once accepted. Thank you very much! Use of Photos from Dark IslandEdit

I wanted to let you know I have used a modified form of one of your photos of the Singer Castle on Dark Island for a book cover, to be serialized on the web and later put into print form. I obtained the photos from this link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Island. I have provided attribution in the caption directly below the photo. It can be viewed at this page www.myserialbook.com. The final cover is yet to be determined, but attribution and link information will be included on the copyright page of the print and e-book editions if used. Wonderfully clear photos. I had to remove a few of the 'modern' updates visible, as the novel is set in an earlier time period, but the changes were minor. I would be happy to send you a copy of the e-book, when it launches next year.

Thanks for uploading File:Saint Petersburg Canal 06.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the OTRS system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. Use of Medusa MosiacEdit

We plan to use your beautiful photo of the Medusa mosaic from Tunisia as the frontispiece of a small press (non profit) edition of poetry by Barbara A. Holland. The book is titled "Medusa and Other Poems" and the title-poem in the book is a depiction of Medusa, so your photo was perfect. The press is The Poet's Press, based in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. The book will be published as a PDF ebook and also as a print-on-demand book via Amazon. I have placed the copyright and attribution to you as required on the copyright page, and also on an "About This Book" page at the end of the book. We will be happy to send you a copy of the ebook or the finished book if you would like to see it. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by 178.208.166.52 (talk) 17:30, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
