Erste Schritte Unser Ratgeber Erste Schritte und unsere FAQ können Dir nach Deiner Anmeldung hilfreich sein. Bitte unterschreibe auf Diskussionsseiten, indem Du ~~~~ tippst. Verwende das CommonSense-Werkzeug, um geeignete Kategorien für Deine Dateien zu finden (damit andere Leute sie ebenfalls auffinden können!). Um auf eine Bildbeschreibungsseite zu verlinken, schreibe dies:[[:Image:Foo.jpg]], so dass dies angezeigt wird: Image:Foo.jpg Sofern Du Dateien aus einem anderen Projekt überträgst, verwende bitte immer das Werkzeug CommonsHelper. Hast Du einen Fehler gemacht? Wolltest Du eine Datei umbenennen oder sie verschieben? Lade sie einfach erneut hoch und markiere die alte Datei mit {{bad name|Richtiger Name}} Ausführliche Informationen findest Du auf der Seite Löschrichtlinien.

re:Misspelled words in "Christological spectrum.svg"

Thanks for your remakrk, btw Qnoma and Qnome are Syriac words. I will correct the error and convert the texts to objects later today.--Rafy (talk) 14:07, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Uploading vector replacement

I am trying to replace File:Letters Sk in Fraktur.png with an identical SVG. I am new to this, and my upload of what I think is a valid SVG file has not changed anything, and the uploader insisted on keeping the PNG extension. I am baffled. — Alarob (talk) 22:06, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

I see how my first attempt at an SVG failed to produce a vector image. I fixed that, but I still don't see how to replace the PNG with my SVG. I can see that people do it all the time. I just can't reproduce it. — Alarob (talk) 22:17, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

I have now uploaded the vector image as File:Fraktur letters Sk.svg. I suppose I'll go to a Help page and ask for the PNG to be removed. — Alarob (talk) 16:33, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on 1 May 2023, 23:59:59 UTC.
