Your deletion, with no reasons givenEdit
Please tell me why you did this edit, with no reasons given. There is a discussion on the Talk place if you would like to add your reasons there. Thanks. Llywelyn2000 (talk) 06:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Llywelyn2000: Because Wales is not an official country in Europe. It is only a country as part of the United Kingdom. As we also didn't include England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in Category:COVID-19 pandemic in Europe--A1Cafel (talk) 08:42, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello, As you cannot answer my question at Commons:Deletion requests/Files found with www.facebook.com/DanScavino - May I make the suggestion that you don't upload images of which you don't know the copyright licence(s) for?, If I see you repeating this again I'll have no choice but to escalate this to ANU but hopefully it wont need to come to that, Happy editing!, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 09:10, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Please be more careful when nominating images of toys and dolls for deletion. Some of them may be public domain (e.g. in the US: published before 1925, or before 1978 without a copyright notice) or were clearly handmade by the photographer. I would recommend only nominating toys which were commercially manufactured in the last few decades, or are derivative of a copyrighted character. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 20:50, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- Again you have nominated an old doll with just the rationale "Per COM:TOYS": Commons:Deletion requests/File:Blueeyes-Elena.JPG. It appears to have been made in 1926 and sent from the US to Japan in 1927. There is no copyright notice on the doll, so ultimately it depends on whether the dolls can be considered "published" for the purposes of US law at the time. In any case, your rationale is wholly inadequate so I have closed your DR without prejudice. Whenever you nominate a toy that appears to be more than a few decades old, you must give a more detailed explanation as to why you think it is copyrighted, beyond simply citing COM:TOYS. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 15:39, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
Categorize FOP deletion requestsEdit
Good day (evening here in the Philippines). I can notice in your contributions about deletion requests. Please categorize FOP-related deletion nominations by grouping them under relevant categories under Category:FOP-related deletion requests (e.g. "<noinclude>[[Category:Philippine FOP cases/pending]]</noinclude>"). I added categories to much of your DR's that remain uncategorized from February 2020 to this month, including the closed ones (uncategorized resulted them to becoming "orphan" and not immediately accessible, thereby denying any future potential undeletions or changes in decisions with regards to erratic FOP statuses around the world, as well as potential future reference to past FOP-related discussions). JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 14:37, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hello again. Please categorize FOP-related DR's according to relevant categories under Category:FOP-related deletion requests (e.g. "<noinclude>[[Category:Canadian FOP cases/pending]]</noinclude>"). The FOP DR's get "orphan" (or uncategorized) if these aren't categorized. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 03:38, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
- Again and again, please categorize all FOP-related DR's that you commenced. Using the ff. syntax <noinclude>[[:Category: x FOP cases/pending]]</noinclude>, where x stands for the relevant country or region as categorized at Category:FOP-related deletion requests. Although not mandatory, categorization is required to make FOP DR's more accessible and to facilitate discussions, as well as the possibility of undeletion if the country implements FOP or if the work becomes public domain. All copyrighted works like murals have copyright durations, which vary by country. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 11:26, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Flickrreview for old artEdit
Hi! There are no need to ask for a Flickrreview for files like this because it is not likely that someone that died in 1824 or 1870 have an account on Flickr. Therefore it is not likely that the uploader on Flickr is the copyright holder if any copyright exist. So all that is relevant is if the painting is still copyrighted or not. --MGA73 (talk) 09:58, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
