I usually contribute to the de-version of wikipedia as user biezl. Please inform me of deletion notifications on my talk page there, not here.

Das Bild stammt aus dem Brockhaus von 1911 und den Public-Domain-Status halte ich deswegen nicht für gesichert. Der Autor lässt sich mit vertretbarem Aufwand nicht feststellen (Aus meiner Sicht stellt jeder einzelne Eintrag in einem Lexikon als eigenständiges Werk). Für Deutschland gilt damit eine Schutzdauer von 100 Jahren (auch nicht erfüllt), für Commons einem Internationalen Projekt sollte man vorsichtiger sein und noch einen Puffer drauflegen, also eher 75 Jahre (Schutzdauer) + 50 Jahre für durchschnittliche Lebenserwartung und abzüglich Alter zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung. Folglich sollten meines Erachtens auf Commons nur Werke landen die Älter als 125 Jahre sind.

Zeno.org als kommerzieller Anbieter kann da riskiofreudiger sein, denn der Streitwert dürfte nicht sonderlich hoch sein (was ist ein Lexikon von 1911 heute schon Wert?) und die können einfach sagen, ok wir gingen von anderen Maßstäben und schalten einen Teil ihres Angebots ab.

Und wer bei solch einer Angelegenheit klagt, kann nur sein Gesicht verlieren, denn das Urheberrecht soll ja nach einer angemessenen Schutzfrist verfallen. Wer das dann zu eng sieht und jemanden bei einem Grenzfall verklagt, der das ganze auch noch kostenfrei anbietet, zieht den Vorwurf der Wissensmonopolisierung auf sich. Auf diesem Weg zerrt sich Zeno.org einen für ihr kleines Projekt einen ziemlich saftigen Happen auf die Public-Domain-Seite, nämlich den Brockhaus von 1911.

Oder hast Du genauere Informationen wieso Zeno.org sich das erlaubt?

Bei uns schaut das anderst aus, da muss es wirklich Frei sein, denn es geht 1. um unseren Ruf, dass wir wirklich so gut es geht auf Einhaltung des Urheberrechts und 2. was wenn jemand klagt, wer stopft die herausgerissenen Lücken? Sollten bei Commons entsprechende Inhalte erwünscht sein, sollte es auch entsprechende Bausteine geben, damit im Krisenfall wenigstens der Schaden gezielt behoben werden kann.

Das war jetzt etwas ausführlicher aber kompakter kann ich meinen Standpunkt nicht Formulieren

vielen dank für deine hilfe! ich habe den hermann euler (maler) angelegt, da sollte ich dir bescheid sagen... ich hab gesehen, du hast auch auf meine campiseite geschaut, da bin ich noch am schreiben, klappt gut, die bilder werde ich bald versuchen, einzufügen. dank nochmal, super wenn die hilfe so schnell ist.

hallo, ich brauch nochmal etwas hilfe bitte. hab daisy campi soweit fertig, nur muss ich die files der bilder umbenennen, damit auf der wikiseite nicht der name, sondern der titel erscheint. war denkfehler von mir. wie kann ich das ändern? neu hochladen? hab dasselbe problem auch mit den bildern der noch nicht erstellten hermann euler seite. danke im voraus gimit

Ich verstehe nicht genau was du meinst, aber vermutlich meinst du die Bildbeschriftung und du hast Probleme mit der Wiki-Syntax. Ein kurzes Beispiel dazu:

Differential steering mechanism

The drawing is excellent because it delivers easily for the reader how that mechanism works, which is a feature that most if not all readers desire.
