Category: Puerto Rico

Hi, please note that Category:Forts and fortresses of Puerto Rico in already contained in Category:Buildings in Puerto Rico that is already contained in Category:Puerto Rico; so you have not to put a double category, otherwise it would be abounding. Puedes hablarme en español si quieres :) Yo creo que tu hayas malinterpretado lo de las categorias: "la estructura de categorías debería reflejar una jerarquía de conceptos, del más genérico al más específico." habla de la estructura entre las categorias y no de las categorias que tienes que poner. Si es como tu piensas tendremos miliones de fotos en la mismas paginas, y no es asi. Busca pa cualquier foto y observa que las categorias son solo la más especificas porqué la genèricas están comprendida en la estructura entre categorias del albor de las categorias :) --OliverZena 06:18, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Domingo photos

I wrote it such a way because I thought Wikicommons photos are for Wiki and its “group” only. The PR releases the promotional photos can be used for any promotional article provided the name of the photographer (if stated at the photos) stays. Anyway, i have changed the comment to "promotional" and deleted the earlier. - Whjayg 03:42, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Eddie, after reading the whole content of the “rights” in published photos, I think it is best if you could delete both the photos first for now. I decided to upload fresh photos again later (probably after Mr. Domingo office has sent all the photos they promised me and I will upload them under new names and added with {{Otrs pending}} after sending mails to the admin. Current photos have my old comments and the delete tag and it makes it look messy. The PR of Mr. Domingo office has made it clear to me that the original 11 photos that I requested (photos in Placido Domingo official website) cannot be given due to copyrights issue. However, she promised to give me photos which the company owns and have rights to be given away for various purposes, and these 2 were the first. In her e-mail, she said, the next photos will be give later, probably after they managed to get the consent (not sure when). Therefore, I been thinking, it is best for me to write to Commons admin via Commons:OTRS after I received all of them. In the meantime, the photos have been uploaded in Wikipedia. EuroNews logo on french Wikipedia

Hi there,

I've made a contribution to the EuroNews page in french few days ago and I added the EuroNews logo. I have to admit I didn't get anything in the copyright page but I thought I chose the right tag. But apparently not. I would like to stress the fact that It is not a copyright violation as I have been given the right to use the logo by the company but I don't know what to do to make it approved and avoid deletion. Can someone help me?

Next time could you not act so drastically by tagging the image as a copyvio? I've been working withe the owner to get the tag right. I know from other uploads you don't have to tag it for deletion. What happened to AGF? Evrik 00:14, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

• You had the "right, nay, the responsibility to tag it as a copyvio?" Hardly, you could have used {{User:FlickreviewR/reviewed-fail-recent}}. Since we don't AGF here, it might not irritate editors who are trying to do a good job ... Well, since the image passed review, the whole point is moot, isn't it? BTW, I had the permission, and took them at their word that they would set the right permission.

I fixed the link. Harsh? Dude,you're Harshing my mellow. I read Commons:Flickr images/reviewers. It doesn't say anything about having to tag the image as a copyvio. Look, you're blowing this way out of proportion. Tagging it as a copyvio was a harsh act, especially given that I've loaded a number of images from flickr. Anyway ... ttfn. • Common sense? First you claim that you had the responsibility to tag it as a copyvio, then you claim it was policy, and now you say it was common sense? No, common sense would have been not being so draconian in the first tag, letting me know there was a problem, and then if its not resolved, then tagging it for deletion.
