Hello Christian, can you please delete this file? It has been nominated for deletion long time ago and I think there is no doubt (the case is clear). Thanks in advance for your great help! Best regards, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 09:19, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
I really appreciate your constant help! Regards, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 17:25, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello Christian, could you please delete this file? I have nominated it for deletion seven days ago & the case is clear (votes for deletion). Thanks in advance, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 06:28, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi Christian, can you delete this file? I have nominated it for deletion in consent with the original author who had uploaded that file for a conversion test. Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 21:58, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello Christian, can you please delete this file? It's an old file of mine and I have superseded it with a new version (linked in DR) which fixes some SVG and layout issues. Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 10:36, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
Great, thanks a lot for your help! Have a nice week, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 12:58, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
Hey Christian Ferrer, can you please delete this file? I have superseded it with a corrected version (linked in the DR as well as some other important reasons). Thanks in advance & stay healthy. Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 11:39, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi Christian. It seems that the latest two versions of this file are not free and need to be deleted. However, I don't know how to nominate only those two versions for deletion without nominating the original version. I'd be glad if you help me with this. Thank you. Keivan.fTalk 18:57, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
Done Hi, I deleted the two versions. In such case you can ask to an administrator, as you did, or you can start a regular deletion request with the rationale you have quoted above. Christian Ferrer(talk) 19:15, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
QuickStatements change (4 March). QuickStatements is now executing "run in background" batches with the same priority as direct batches run from the browser. Background batches may now run many times faster than they previously did (discussion), when the WDQS updater can handle this.
There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.
Wikidata Lexeme Forms allows quickly generating a new lexeme with all its forms in selected languages; you can also use the tool to add forms to an existing lexeme, or bulk upload many lexemes and forms at once.
Hello. Yesterday you have send me a message. Help me, please: where I can find information about license of the files 1, 2, 3 and 4? In the source of the files i can't find it. Maybe, you know how I can correct this situation? Kirill SH (talk) 08:39, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, that is exactly the issue, in the source there is no compatible licenses, and when there is no licenses available that means that this is "full rights reserved". Wikimedia Commons accept only freely-licensed medias, you may read com:Licensing and com:Scope. I'm afraid that we can do nothing for those files, and I'm going to delete them. Sorry again, Christian Ferrer(talk) 08:54, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello Christian, I have nominated this file for deletion since I have replaced it with a newer version which fixes some layout issues & SVG errors. Could you delete the old one? Best regards & thanks in advance, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 17:20, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
Great, thanks for your help there! Regards, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 13:16, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello Christian, can you please close this deletion request by keeping the file this time? I have nominated it for deletion but the original uploader and I have found a method to correct the issues. Thanks in advance, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 19:50, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks so much for your help! Regards, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 07:19, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello Christian, can you please delete this file? I have replaced it with a new version to fix some SVG errors and to optimize the layout. Thanks in advance, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 15:07, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
Good day Christian, I have superseded a version of one of my files with a new one (corrected version). Can you delete the previous version of this file? Thanks in advance, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 08:09, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello Christian, could you please delete this file? I have superseded it with a newer version to fix some issues (all stated in the DR). Thanks in advance for your help, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 14:40, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
this file is a screenshot of a FREE Tv program in Iran. everyone are allowed to share this programs video files, and screen shots. Shahryarsee (talk) 08:53, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I'm not aware that "FREE Tv" programs exists, neither what that mean exactly. What is the rationale for such claim? Christian Ferrer(talk) 09:35, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
In Iran we don't have copywrite law for tv programs. Anything that is broadcasted on television is free to use and share. There are no paid channels in Iran. every thing that is broadcasted on tv is avalable to download freely on "Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting website". Iran's media is diffrent from other counries. tv belongs to goverment, tv programs are made by goverment, and thay are free. Shahryarsee (talk) 13:30, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
this is not cinema! this is govermental tv. these two are different. cinema is not free but tv programs are. if don't beleve me, ask in persian wikipedia, or maybe you can check this irib in wikipediaShahryarsee (talk) 14:26, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
It seems that the Iranian goverment is indeed the copyright holder, but, from what I can see, the woks owned by the Iranian goverment are not in Public Domain, and the copyright of 30 years after publication still applies. Christian Ferrer(talk) 14:35, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
I don't know how you're gonna translate it into your language, but [this] article clears it up. really we don't have copyright law for this kind of programs. i can provide more articles about this if you want, but I strongly recommend you to ask this from persian wikipedia admins or users. I'm telling the truth. Shahryarsee (talk) 15:01, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
I have converted the "no permission" tag into a deletion request, see Commons:Deletion requests/File:Alireza amirghasemi.jpg, and I also notified a few Persian language administrators. Now if you want to add comments you should do it directly in the deletion request page, in order that the administrator who will close the request be aware of your comment(s). Hi again, User:Kiki1810 has uploaded some album covers as own work, it's possible, but usually not. Are there any way to note all files at once for an otrs request? TherasTaneel (talk) 19:39, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the notification. No need to mark the files now, I deleted them, they were clearly copyright violations. The tool to mark several files for regular deletion, for speedy deletions, no permissions, ect... is Help:VisualFileChange.js. Christian Ferrer(talk) 20:06, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
Ongoing: covid-19 virtual biohackathon until April 11th. Information on how to participate. Instructions to participate are on the github wiki and join #wikidata room. Several Wikidata-related topics are currently presented, such as: COVID-19 Global Dashboard, sync the ICTV Virus classification and Nomenclature with Wikidata, federate between Wikidata and NextProt, use wikibase to align between (bio)schema.org and Wikidata.
Scholia highlights the scholarly data in Wikidata, including scholarly works, projects, topics, and individual researchers, including their relationships and statistics. It encourages further enrichment of Wikidata through links on the "missing" pages.
Thanks, have a great start into the new week! Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 19:01, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi Christian, could you please close this deletion request by keeping the file? It has been nominated for deletion long time ago, but – as clearly visible – no consense for deletion could be found since there is no appropriate replacement available for this file. Thanks in advance, Chem Sim 2001 (disc) 20:26, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi. I see you are an organizer. I didn't even know this year's competition had started. Something seriously wrong with this year's communication. There's nothing on the FP page which is crazy. I never go to the home page. And t's really difficult to find the results. Charlesjsharp (talk) 08:39, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi, yes I'm listed as an organizer, but my participation was almost limited to help sorting the images before the contest has started. And if I participed it was by solidarity with my colleagues Zhuyifei1999 and Steinsplitter who, since two years, have run the contest, because there was nobody else, and specially Zhuyifei1999 who did a lot of work and who abandoned. Sorry, I can not help you very much. That being said the peoples involved in the FP process can participe to the organisation of the contest POTY for the next years, and maybe even take charge of the full organization, included all the communication around the contest. I own these pictures. How can I upload them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjmja5 (talk • contribs) 16:57, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Why? because some of the files that I checked with google can be seen in the Web, some other are kind of scrrenshot, some others are so small that it is unbelievable that they are onw works, some others are upscalled copies of very small images (see my comment before).
How? I don't think there is a way to upload those images. Christian Ferrer(talk) 19:41, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Christian Ferrer, Would you mind to do License Review this one? Thanks. Kind regards, Lymantria (talk) 06:28, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

Comment: The Washington Post is giving free coverage for all COVID related articles on their website and according to this link, more than 200,000 people died today (Saturday) of this virus sadly. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 18:49, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes it is sad for all the relatives of the victims, whether from the virus or from any other premature death. Christian Ferrer(talk) 20:10, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Done you're right, there is no need that another administrator look at this DR. It is obvious there is no evidences that copyright holders of the photos (usually the photographers) gave the explicit permissions needed to a publication here, under our specific licenses. zotkat's exporter for Zotero (a software to manage bibliographic data) allows you to export bibliographies to the QuickStatements format. It is helpful to easily create bibliographical entries, especially as Zotero can read metadata about works from dozens of other websites, and can thus be used as intermediary.
