Hello. This message is to inform you that a daily gallery in your userspace, User:Donald Trung/OgreBot/Non-token Exonumia, has failed. Due to software limitations, the bot has a hard upper-limit of about 6000 files per day (including overflow galleries), while your gallery had 21801 files.

This usually happens because a gallery is too broad, encompassing too many subcategories. Please review the logs here and request that a subcategory be excluded, or narrow your category choice(s).

Please make your request for removal within 4 days, or your gallery will be subject to removal.

Thank you. Magog the Ogre (via OgreBot (talk) 03:22, 25 November 2018 (UTC))

Starting a new WikiProject

Hi Donald Trung, I have a question regarding starting a new WikiProject. I understand you may not be the best person to ask this, but I see you have one of the most recently created WikiProjects so I assume you have some knowledge of the process. I read in Commons:WikiProject that new WikiProjects should be submitted to the WikiProject Council, but that page lists no current members and has almost no discussion on information on how to get it submitted/done. For example, what are the criteria for approval of a new project, how a new hidden category can be created for the project, when it is ok to start the project page (I see you had a draft page, but also don't see any discussion there). Any help would be most welcome! TiagoPereira (talk) 15:56, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

@TiagoPereira: I was wondering the same thing when I started WikiProject Numismatics but then I asked "User:Rehman" who was a sitting member of the WikiProject Council at the time and (s)he told me that the WikiProject Council has been inactive for many years and many of the most "recent" submissions were also many, many years old. So they advised me to just launch the WikiProject, I personally wanted to wait until I had 4 (four) members of which "User:Baomi" was its latest member upon launch. I drafted the WikiProject in "User:Donald Trung/DRAFT NAME" pages first and invited people to join first (for a current WikiProject "I'm working on" see: User:Donald Trung/WikiProject Books (Concept)), you could choose to do that (if you like) and then invite contributors to the area you want to start a project in.
Regarding categories I just followed the Category:Commons WikiProjects category tree 🌳 and ended up emulating it. You could also create a template like {{User WPNumismatics}} for your WikiProject. If you have any more questions I'd love to hear them. And I'd advise you to ask former members of the WikiProject Council too (although this council itself is inactive now, or at least the last time I checked). --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 20:09, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
@Donald Trung: Thank you for the quick reply, I will give it a try! TiagoPereira (talk) 15:28, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Out of country

I'll be out of the country for a couple of days and won't be able to frequently check any messages here, queries and deletion requests will (most likely) be left unanswered until my return. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 23:58, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
