Since you bring it up — are there any parts of the Newark Earthworks that are visitable by anyone at any time of the year without paying a greens fee? I've never been to Newark — I live on the other side of the state — but I'd like to try to make a detour at some point. Nyttend (talk) 05:47, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Re: Category:Mamie Langdale BridgeEdit

Yes, I forgot how I found that name. I'll search my history for the link tonight. On another topic, I suppose you must've read about my pics of the Inverness Masonic Temple. ----DanTD (talk) 01:59, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

No, I didn't read. Do tell.
Btw, I'm sorting thru a bunch of photos I've taken this month. Some near Tallahassee, some near Sarasota. Would've taken more, but car problems interfered. It all works out, tho. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 02:44, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Category:Masonic Temple (Inverness, Florida). And I'm surprised you didn't know, because I've crossed it off your user pages. ----DanTD (talk) 03:27, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Oh, I knew that. I thought you meant there was some sort of problem with them. Which would have been puzzling, as they look fine to me. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 18:30, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Photo sorting; October 2010Edit

Wow! You weren't kidding when you mentioned all those photos you had to sort through! I added some categories to a few of them myself, but I'd expect you to do better than I did. ----DanTD (talk) 12:09, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Yep, about 1200, with over 800 being decent. I'm uploading the last now.
Eek, you removed the UPDATE LATER category! It's OK. I just like using it to hold the photos, then go through with AutoWikiBrowser and add the categories and descriptions.
I'm planning another roadtrip this weekend, so of course I'm falling more behind. And (car willing) next weekend is another long one, to Pensacola and back. Another long one planned for Thanksgiving. See, I've got a bunch of vacation time to use by years-end, so I'm going a bit crazy. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 22:00, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Ooh, so you can only add descriptions if the "UPDATE LATER" category is left alone? Sorry. Some of them seem so obvious though. As you can see I actually made a category for Chiefland, but the Rail Trails in Florida category was something I was thinking about doing for a while. BTW, I just added one of the ones of the Gainesville-Hawthorne trail to that article, so perhaps you should work on a description. Good luck on your next trip though. Hopefully, you'll get the old Amtrak station in Tallahassee. ----DanTD (talk) 22:13, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Oddly, Tallahassee's low on my list, and I'm not even sure why. It's not like it's Miami or something. I'm planning to start around Chipley, head to Pensacola, then loop back along US 98. Get as much of the stuff that I missed on the Easter '08 trip.
Removing the UPDATE LATER category won't mess me up too bad. I can use the "look for all links on a page" option on the gallery page. I love AWB. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 22:24, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
BTW, I thought this was amusing. --Ebyabe (talk) 22:31, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, that's good to hear you can do okay without the UPDATE LATER category. And that "Eye Depot" sign was pretty amusing. You were in Trilby? I took a few shots of that earlier this year, and I'm going to have to rename this one. ----DanTD (talk) 00:00, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Yep, I passed thru Trilby. Not only am I taking photos of National Register places and state parks, but stuff in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture. At least partly b/c things in it are still being added to the National Register, so it's pre-emptive.
Took two trips this weekend. Yesterday I was able to knock out Nassau County, and went down US 92 thru Deland to Maitland today. About 700 more pictures to sort thru. Doubt I'll get thru them before the panhandle trip this coming weekend. Which'll be 5 days long, so at least another 1,000. Prolly a few hundred more than that. I am so not going anywhere the weekend of the 13th, nor the 20th. 'Cause I gotta get ready for the 6 day trip over Thanksgiving. Yeah, I love me some roadtrippin'. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 01:15, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Someone has taken umbrage at your Category:UPDATE LATER and submitted the category and presumably the contents for deletion. Can I recommend that if they are not to be deleted that you challenge the SPEEDY DELETE though at the same time, look to finish the appropriate tagging of the files. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:24, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I was thinking of putting it in for speedy delete anyway. Someone else "created" it, which I never intended at all. It's not a real category, and I always meant it to be a redlink. Its only use was to temporarily hold photos I uploaded, and then I could use it to properly categorize them via AWB. Thanks for the heads-up though; your concern is appreciated. :)

Jefferson County, Florida PhotograhsEdit

I'd like to use a few of your photographs for a website I'm building for Jefferson County. I've read your permission requests for copyright but I wanted to contact you to be sure this is okay. My email is

It's OK. Look forward to seeing the site. --Ebyabe (talk) 22:48, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Sanford Auto Train StationEdit

I just spotted four of your pictures of Sanford (Amtrak station). The categories for these were so obvious, I adde them, even though you're waiting for AWB to do some of the work for you. I see you're categorizing some of your other pics, though, which is good, because I've been holding back the urge to categorize a lot of the ones you've submitted recently. ----DanTD (talk) 03:01, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Yep, doing basic categorizing now, with more to add later. I'm uploading shots from my Thanksgiving trip to points south, so figured I'd finally catch up on the categorizing. --Ebyabe (talk) 03:06, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
I just found Opa-Locka (Tri-Rail station) too, not to mention Deerfield Beach (Tri-Rail station), which is still active. Any other Tri-Rail and/or Amtrak stations around? ----DanTD (talk) 03:36, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Whatever's in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties, which are the ones I hit. --Ebyabe (talk) 03:44, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay, but just so you know, the Opa-Locka Tri-Rail station isn't on NRHP. If you look on Google Street View, you'll find that there's an old station next door that is. In the meantime, you should check your User:Ebyabe/NRHPs in FL pix needed page, because I've just added images to a lot of the articles on that list, not to mention added nearly several galleries. You took so many that galleries are necessary. In the meantime, individual pictures for Deerfield Beach, and West Palm Beach stations don't need NRHP cat's because I've added them to their own cats. ----DanTD (talk) 14:59, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Are you sure? It's just there are two listings for the same address, Opa-Locka Railroad Station and Harry Hurt Building. Or could they be the same place, but listed as separate ones? Yeah, there are more than 3,000 photos I uploaded in the last couple of months. Thanks for the categorizing help. You do your thing and I'll do mine. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 16:28, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Well, the Tri-Rail station is at 480 Ali Baba Avenue, and the NRHP-SAL station is at 490 Ali Baba Avenue. But that's an interesting tip you've got about the Harry Hurt Building. Sounds like this calls for an investigation to me. ----DanTD (talk) 16:39, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

New categoriesEdit

Are you going to fill in some of these new categories you've created tonight? ----DanTD (talk) 00:37, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

No, I'm gonna add photos to the articles on Wikipedia now. --Ebyabe (talk) 01:02, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh, well. I've got some rename tags for those images of Opa-Locka Railroad Station that you thought were of the Harry Hurt Building. If you'd like, I can throw them on. ----DanTD (talk) 01:44, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
I went ahead and took up Royalbroil's offer, and asked him. Danke though. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 16:18, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Good enough. I just created cats for both that, the Tri-Rail station next door, and a new meta-category this afternoon; Category:National Register of Historic Places in Florida by city. Currently, that category is dominated by your work. ----DanTD (talk) 21:30, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Good back atcha, and for the meta-category. What can I say, I'm a photo-taking fiend. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 00:21, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Well, my fiend, I see what you've done as far as categories go, but I've just created two new categories for Palatka North Historic District and Palatka South Historic District, although I'm thinking of moving them within NRHP in Palatka. ----DanTD (talk) 01:30, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I am a fiend. :) Great! I've been meaning to do that with the Palatka ones, but I keep getting distracted. :o I'm going to request some file renaming too, since I misnamed some of the old RR station ones in Boca Raton as the City Hall. Gaah! --Ebyabe (talk) 01:33, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Old Florida Highway BridgeEdit

How well do you know your Florida road history? I saw this cornerstone on an old bridge over the Withlacoochee River in the Nobleton area, which is for Hernando-Sumter CR 476, but for some reason, it appears to be identified as "Highway 5."

Was Hernando-Sumter CR 476 orginally Florida SR 5?

---Any info on this, or will I have to write to FDOT #5 or #7 about it? ----DanTD (talk) 18:07, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I think you're right, that it used to be SR 5 before the 1945 re-numbering. This seems to go along with that. --Ebyabe (talk) 22:24, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Railroad Stations on NRHP by stateEdit

So, I see you've decided to make state-specific NRHP categories for railroad stations. I made some too. And I see you made one for New Jersey. I hope you realize that there are a lot of active New Jersey Transit stations that deserve that category. ----DanTD (talk) 23:40, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I was in a mood, and did state-specific categories for several of the larger NRHP categories, like cemeteries and rail stations. I farmed out what I could find. Ain't we got fun. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 03:27, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, but now there are going to have to be some county-specific NRHP cats in New Jersey. I can't decide which county to start with next, though. ----DanTD (talk) 17:14, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
