Hollywood Tri-Rail StationEdit

You had an image for Hollywood (Tri-Rail station), and you didn't tell me(File:Hollywood FL RR station01.jpg). Well, now it's in the article. I don't know when you're going to take more, but I should pay more attention to your road trips. I've actually thought of taking bus trips to Talahassee and the Miami Metro Area just to snap some railroad station pics. ----DanTD (talk) 00:16, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Apologies. It wasn't even on my list to take, I stumbled across it whilst trying to find the Hollywood Garden Club. It's not a great photo anyway, but if you feel it's worth using, what the hey. :) I'd recommend going to Tallahassee first, it's safer. I do plan on going there in the near future (finally), but not sure when, so you might get there first. Miami, eck. It's changed so much since when I grew up there, and not in a good way. I was there only Thanksgiving morning for a few hours, and that was more than long enough. I'll have to go back at some point, to get the dozens of NRHP sites there, but it's low on my priority list now. I'd rather go to the Keys first. --Ebyabe (talk) 00:24, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Your most recent Hialeah road tripEdit

Since I see you added an abundance of images for Hialeah Seaboard Air Line Railway Station, although just one for the article, I had to create a a category. The only disappointment is that you didn't get any of the nearby Hialeah Market (Tri-Rail station). As for me, I just got back from a drive up to New York about a couple of weekends ago, and I'm still uploading pics from up and down the coast. ----DanTD (talk) 02:26, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

There doesn't seem to be anything for the Tri-Rail station but canopies next to the tracks. I think the Seaboard station is the Tri-Rail station, at least the south end is. The rest is a market (hence the name, I guess). That station was the hardest thing to find on my whole trip. The coords in the Tri-Rail station article is where I thought it was, but I started there and there was no train station. Anyway, good on you for having a prolonged roadtrip too. They is so fun. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 03:03, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

File:Former library building, Wrexham - DSC05653.JPGEdit

Hello Ebyabe,

Thank you for refining the categories on some of the images I uploaded. I appreciate your efforts. Just to let you know though that the library in the photo File:Former library building, Wrexham - DSC05653.JPG is in Wales, not in England. Feel free to correct this as you see fit.

Best regards, Green Lane (talk) 20:14, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

General James A. Van Fleet State TrailEdit

I forget when I mentioned this, but I once said that if there were ever enough pictures of the General James A. Van Fleet State Trail I'd create a new category for it. Now thanks to you, it's here, although there should still be some Lake County area images for it. ----DanTD (talk) 02:20, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

SavannahEdit

Hope I didn't make any mess that you had to clean up. Thanks for uploading so many beautiful Georgia images. I've been working a little bit on historic Georgia topics (since it seemed a little neglected compared to some of our other states), and was so excited to see some modern shots of Savannah. I'll be sure to contact you before I make any Florida plans, thanks for the offer! Altairisfartalk 15:34, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Re: Fort King RoadEdit

I suspect a lot of old these segments were cut off from each other somehow... or maybe some were just renamed within Dade City. ----DanTD (talk) 19:36, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Inverness ACL vs SAL DepotEdit

Five of the pictures you took in Inverness claiming to be the "Inverness FL SAL RR Station" are actually of the ACL station. The SAL station was the law office about a block south, and I've got some pics of that. You should correct them. ----DanTD (talk) 01:20, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Changed them, but are you sure they're not the other way 'round? I'm going by the picture in "A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture". It certainly looks like the photo for "Seaboard Air Line-Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Station, built in 1900" which has a "wood frame structure". The law office (which I parked at, and ironically thought how much it looked like an old depot) is made of brick. Thoughts? --Ebyabe (talk) 16:44, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
The Withlacoochee State Trail is a former ACL line, and "Railroad Depots of Central Florida," by Michael Mulligan confirms the SAL Depot was converted into an office complex. I also saw the Seaboard Coast Line sign on the station, so that's where I think the confusion lies. While we're on the subject of Inverness, File:Inverness FL city hall01.jpg is broken. I've got a broken file too, but I'm having a hard time fixing that. ----DanTD (talk) 16:25, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Historic districtsEdit

Please be much more careful with your historic district categories: many HDs are not NR-listed, so "HDs in __" is never a suitable subcategory of "NR in __". Nyttend (talk) 12:44, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

For example, 11 of the 21 HDs represented in Category:Historic districts in Monroe County, Indiana (all of them in the Bloomington subcategory) aren't NR-listed. Nyttend (talk) 12:52, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
