I have only found few websites, most are showing just images with low resolution and give no information on blazoning...Thank in advance for your help. Green in Arab national symbols

It's nice to have sources, but unfortunately your actions have suggested that you're imposing what you consider to be an appropriate uniform "pan-Arab red" and "pan-Arab green" on Arab national symbols, regardless of local diversities which have existed. Certainly the image on this page has a shade of green quite a bit lighter than the green you used in your image of the flag of Lebanon... AnonMoos (talk) 09:09, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Standardization mania

Re: Your file-upload comments on Image:Flag of Libya.svg -- I really wish that you wouldn't standardize just for the sake of standardizing. The evidence collected at en:Talk:Flag_of_Libya strongly suggests that most commonly the Libyan flag is not proportioned as 2:3. Meanwhile, you should consider the possibility that the various flags and emblems of the various Arab countries were adopted according to what was locally preferred in the particular circumstances of a particular place and time (different for every country) -- and not according to some master-plan of rigid lockstep design uniformity...

In any case, the national flags of Libya have historically been tied to those of Egypt and Syria -- not to Maghreb flags. AnonMoos (talk) 00:24, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Arabic SVG

Not completely sure what you mean, since MSIE doesn't directly display SVG, as far as I'm aware, but instead calls upon other programs (such as Adobe SVG plugin) to do so. Also, the only thing that's really important for SVG files uploaded to Commons is whether or not they display in the particular version of rsvg used here, not how they display in other programs. However, fonts do seem to often have problems, espcecially Arabic fonts: Image:Slogan-ar-wiki.svg. I can't really say much more until I see the actual file in question... Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Laâyoune → El Aaiún

Any chance you can change "Laâyoune" to "El Aaiún" on the map at Morocco Protectorate.svg. The spelling "Laâyoune" is French-based and was really only used after the Moroccan takeover while "El Aaiún", the Spanish spelling, was used during the time covered by this map. Hello again Flad, I noted that this File:Morocco (orthographic projection).svg was uploaded by you in 18:14, 4 January 2010 by first time, where Morocco and Western Sahara had a border between them, so i'm wondering why did you erase this border then?, as we can see, the authorship of this map is yours then why you just don't revert it to this 18:14, 4 January 2010, surelly you know this version is the original neutral cartography according to the United Nations. Rename works with {{Rename}}. You didn't ask for renaming, you uploaded the old file with a new name! Please discuss first which flag is the standard one and which is an alternative (I daubt both flag are "official flags of Morocco, but ...).

Construction sheet of Morrocan National flag

I just noticed the "File:Flag of Morocco (construction).svg" you are the (original) author and calls as source "Flag of Morocco". A snapshot of yourself or an official photo? :)
