Hello Fnielsen!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

Thank you. BotMultichillT (talk) 22:44, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Tak / Thank youEdit

Hej!

Hello! You have uploaded one or more pictures to the Danish 2011-WLM competition. The jury will soon begin to select the best pictures. While you wait you may want to check if there is a good description of the image/images and if you have turned on the e-mail feature, so we can reach you if you win. If you have uploaded downscaled versions consider uploading the originals. Whether you win or not thank you very much for your contribution! --MGA73 08:00, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

So I filled in the 'permission' field in the template now. The 'source' field already was referencing doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0002214. What should I do to indicate the permission of the file? — Fnielsen (talk) 14:43, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
Everything is fine now. I have removed the template. Thank you :) In kind regards, heb [T C E] 06:57, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Picture of the Year 2013 R1 AnnouncementEdit

Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2013 is open!Edit

2012 Picture of the Year: A pair of European Bee-eaters in Ariège, France.

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on . Click here to learn more and vote »

Thanks for uploading File:Carl Nielsen - Wind Quintet - 3. Praeludium - Adagio. Tema con variazioni - Un poco andantino, Min Jesus lad min hjerte få.ogg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the OTRS system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

No required license templates were detected at this file page. Please correct it, or if you have any questions please contact me on my talk page. Yours sincerely, Jarekt (talk) 04:13, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Moved from orphaned file talk page Why was this deleted? It seemed like an ok image to me. — Fnielsen (talk) 10:26, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

The file was deleted because it has previously been deleted by community consensus (see Commons:Deletion requests/File:Mooddisorder.jpg for the discussion). It is part of a long term campaign by one or more people, possibly impersonating an artist/photographer, to fill Wikimedia with images of the same person at different locations but with their face hidden. Some of the images could have been very nice to have in Commons but multiple uploads by accounts with different names have muddied the copyright situation. The only way to resolve it would be for the artist/photographer to contact OTRS but s/he has not done so. Green Giant (talk) 10:53, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation. — Fnielsen (talk) 10:08, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

File:Guds hand 2007.jpgEdit

Hello! My pictures of "Guds hand" where taken in Stockholm, but is Carl Milles "Guds hand" represented in Denmark? And where? Greetings --Holger.Ellgaard (talk) 08:45, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

(Also answered here) The Danish Wikipedia has the article Kunst i Holstebro, where your image is used to illustrate "Guds Hånd" Sculpture in Holstebro, Denmark, see, e.g., Google Streetview. I thought that your photo was a photo of that one. — Fnielsen (talk) 11:18, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Mange tak! --Holger.Ellgaard (talk) 14:36, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Camille Pissarro // problemer med at forstå indlægEdit

Hej Finn

Bedste hilsner --Villy Fink Isaksen (talk) 21:29, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Copenhagen photos?Edit

Hi! Do you do photo requests in the Copenhagen area? Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 08:44, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

@WhisperToMe: Thanks for the question. I would be interested in hearing about your requests. I mostly take photos around Lyngby and Copenhagen and at times where it is convenient. If you have a special request I might consider it, but cannot make any definite promise. — Fnielsen (talk) 11:37, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
Ok! Here are my remaining requests:
Let me know if you are interested in any of these :)

2. Kan du uddybe dit ræsonnement? - Vrenak (talk) 12:16, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

@Vrenak: Tak for spørgsmålet. Danmark har ikke panoramafrihed. CC-BY-SA fordrer frigivelse til kommerciel anvendelse. §24 stk.
— Fnielsen (talk) 15:54, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
