Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Reminder: Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2016 is open! edit

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2016 Picture of the Year contest.

Dear Gower,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2016 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eleventh edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2016) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 20 April 2017, 23:59:59 UTC.

Thanks,

Thanks for uploading File:Donat Kirsch.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Thanks for uploading File:Janusz Roszko.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Hi. Following your message a book is copyrighted as a whole (including its covers) so I'm afraid you can't extract a picture from it and say it's not copyrighted. IMO either the books are old enough to be public domain or a permission from each publisher must be provided via COM:OTRS. Yours, --Patrick Rogel (talk) 12:28, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi again. Thanks for your reply but you say "published without a clear copyright notice" but there's clear copyright notices on the book themselves. Since you own them please look at the very beginning of the books: you'll find a statement like "No part of this book can be reproduced without written permission of the publisher".You may reply on the deletion request below. Yours, --Patrick Rogel (talk) 20:38, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Notification about possible deletion edit

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hi!
You deleted file Rafal Urbacki.jpg with that sentence: Recreation of content deleted per community consensus (G4). But that file has valid OTRS ticket with ID: 2019082610010104. Could you fix that and recreate that file? Polimerek marked wrong file (Rafał Urbacki.jpg) with that. Kind regards! --Gower (talk) 21:35, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Opisywanie zdjęć edit

  • No to zrób to zdjęcie z Kopca Krakusa - zobaczymy w praktyce, jak to wygląda. Selso (talk) 19:21, 7 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I jeszcze jeden problem: wstawiłem takie opisy szczytów do tego zdjęcia], niestety w wykorzystującym go art. wikipedii Chabzdová są one niewidoczne. Również na commons nie zawsze są widoczne. Selso (talk) 09:05, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sposób ładowania zdjęć edit

Hej,

Btw: podziwiam Twoją aktywność w Commons - załadowałeś dużo naprawdę ciekawych i wartościowych zdjęć.

Pozdrowienia,

Thanks for uploading File:Hyphilaria thasus Brazil.jpg.

Kategoryzacja Tatr edit

Dlaczego powrzucałeś do kategorii Tatra Mountains zdjęcia?.

Tatra Mountains. Selso (talk) 11:20, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Do kategorii gór nawrzucano masę zdjęć drzew. Selso (talk) 18:45, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
      • To jest jakieś rozwiązanie i dlatego potworzyłem takie podkategorie, np. Nature of the Tatra Mountains, bo było tak, że wszystko wrzucano do jednego worka pt. Tatry.

Podobnie postępują Anglicy i inni.
W istocie Commons to Stajnia Augiasza.
@Selso Jestem świadomy istnienia Komisji Standaryzacji Nazw Geograficznych i innych podobnych instytucji. Pozdrawiam! Gower (talk) 17:40, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons.

Twoje zdjęcia edit

Witaj! Wstawiłeś do WikiCommons zdjęcie zatytułowane "Sumowa Grapa (tzw.

Autopatrol given edit

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. GPSLeo (talk) 18:06, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oznaczenie z Wikidata edit

Elementy te opisują ten sam obiekt i należałoby je w Wikidata zintegrować. Próbowałam to rozwikłać w 2020 r., założyłam nawet notatnik żeby zbierać te duplikaty, niektóre zostały zintegrowane (np. ten), inne zaznaczałam na stronie dyskusji elementu (Talk:Q17333872). Porzuciłam ten temat, po kilku dyskusjach, bo nie znam zbytnio procedur Wikidata, a trzeba by tam nad tematem popracować. Nova (talk) 08:47, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015 and Wiki Science Competition 2017, Wiki Science Competition 2019 and Wiki Science Competition 2021, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2023 has started in almost all the countries.

If you want to take part in WSC2023, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.

If you are an expert user, we remind you that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.

If you already took part in a country that has completed its upload phase (such as Russia), please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2024.

Wnętrza edit

Witaj, Pytanie: nie można w Wiki zamieszczać zdjęć wnętrz kościołów, kaplic, budynków użyteczności publicznej ? Zabrania tego polskie prawo ? Zetpe0202 (talk) 19:41, 12 December 2023 (UTC) Jeszcze coś: „wolność panoramy” – to prawo obowiązujące np. Polsce, Niemczech, Szwajcarii, Norwegii i Turcji. Zetpe0202 (talk) 20:01, 12 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
