Graphics Update Request edit

Can you update Oklahoma on the US cannabis legalization map to include a “D”? As of last night, not only is medical marijuana legalized but marijuana has been decriminalized to a nontrivial extent under the medical law, see OK State Question 788 full text at OK Dept. of State. Anyone without a medical license found in possession of marijuana which the possessor states to be for medical use may receive only up to a fine of 400.00. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.97.7.219 (talk) 20:47, 27 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Per Wikipedia's policies, I can only go by what other reputable sources report. And I have not seen anyone such as NORML, NCSL, MPP, or any news organization report that Oklahoma decriminalized yesterday. So I do not believe Oklahoma has decriminalized according to the definition that is commonly used, and I would need some supporting references in order to make the change.--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 23:53, 27 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Mexico edit

Can you Change Mexico to blue?

As of yesterday after a majority 4-1 ruling in the Supreme Court, it's now Fully Legal for Recreation and Cultivation nationwide. https://www.upi.com/amp/Top_News/2018/10/31/Mexicos-Supreme-Court-legalizes-cannabis-for-recreational-use/9621541024238/

By the way, Do you edit your .svg files with InkScape, or Illustrator? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SurrogateSlav (talk • contribs) 14:30, 2 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Graphic update request - medical cannabis edit

Can you change Kansas back to gray? The NCSL data is correct - Kansas is a 0 THC state (CBD products cannot contain THC under state law). This is confirmed in the article linked for support for adding Kansas to the "limited" map (https://merryjane.com/news/kansas-legalizes-hemp-derived-cbd-products). Alphachimera (talk) 22:50, 30 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I don't know if that fixes it - the problem is the label for "limited THC," the color gray would also be incorrect because the article title is "cannabis" and the image key uses the term "cannabis." Does this need a new color for states that allow CBD with 0% THC, or a discussion on the article's talk page? Alphachimera (talk) 22:56, 30 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Alphachimera: I think the map is correct the way it is. "Limited" in this case means zero.

In regards to the article's talk page, I'm not sure which article you are referring to (since there are several articles the map is used on) but there is an existing discussion at Talk:Legality of cannabis by U.S. jurisdiction if you wish to join in.--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 12:31, 2 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Another update edit

Hi, Ecuador legalized medical cannabis yesterday, could you please update the map? Thanks in advance. References: [1][2][3].--Freddy eduardo (talk) 16:57, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Freddy eduardo. I did a little more digging and according to this source it has not been officially approved yet. Other sources are more vague and seem to imply that it is official though. I am not sure which is true but personally I would wait and hopefully there is more clarity in the coming days.--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 05:45, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Legality of cannabis - Panama edit

Hi! I hope you are well! I am writing to ask you to update the cannabis legality map and incorporate Panama as green on the map. Recently, on Wednesday October 13, Panama approved the use of medicinal and therapeutic cannabis in Panama, for which I consider it appropriate to make this correction on the current map. --LordSpencer507 (talk) 04:46, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
