November 2017Edit

Hi Jebulon, your photos are amazing and I want to properly credit you when I use them. Do you have a name I can refer to, or would you prefer Jebulon? Many thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zeichman (talk • contribs) 00:51, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi Zeichman. Thanks for compliments. « Jebulon » is enough, but please let me a link to my pictures when you use them! Thanks in advance, I’m always happy when I find one of my pictures on the Net !--Jebulon (talk) 10:30, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

AyudaEdit

Hola, Jebulon.

Me gustaría saber tu opinión sobre File:04-2017. París-34.jpg. ¿Te parece copyvio? (Is the picture copyvio?).

Thanks. Greetings.--Lmbuga (talk) 17:57, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Holà, Luis Miguel.
Sorry to be so late, I was almost completely out of "Commons" for days, due to personal and family problems. I'm sorry my opinion is not very useful now... I think that this is a copyvio, but I'm alone thinking like that: everybody says :"it is a skyline, there is no copyvio". I don't know why... So let the consensus remain.--Jebulon (talk) 16:51, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
Pienso como tú (y confío en ti): No es solamente un horizonte. Te agradecería que la propusieses para borrar y que me indicases donde votar a favor de que la imagen sea borrada. Gracias--Lmbuga (talk) 20:15, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
Soy incapaz de hacer esa propuesta de borrado (I am unable to make that deletion proposal). Thanks, friend. --Lmbuga (talk) 20:18, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
Espero que tú y los tuyos sigáis siendo felices (I hope you and your family are still happy)--Lmbuga (talk) 20:20, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Bien cordialement. Siren-Com (talk) 06:42, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

Tips for museum shootEdit

Hi! :) I'm going to visit Athens soon and we're going to the National Museum. I'll be bringing my camera, so I was wondering if you had any tips on how to shoot good images in there. We're not allowed to use tripods, correct? Have you any tips on camera settings or other tricks? --Peulle (talk) 17:09, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

γεια σας Peulle !
Welcome on my talk page and thanks for message and interest.
I'm afraid there is no special tip for pictures in museum, which is, from my point of view, one of the most difficult category of photographs.
Just try and retry, with various settings (the famous "compromise triangle"). In Athens (what a good idea for a trip !!), in the National archaeological museum, there are various type of lights in the rooms, so you have to change your settings for every photograph. I don't remember if tripod is allowed or not, but as I came from France by air, I did not carry it with me in the plane. Anyway, my pictures are taken without any tripod. You can try to put your camera just "on" the glass (touching), but...it is forbidden.
You don't know how many photos go to the trash-bin when post processing home, once back !!
Since my last "campaign" in the archaeological museum of Athens, I've got a different camera, better in interior. But I've not try it there.
Beware: museums close very early in Greece (3pm or so)
Oh yes, a tip: wear a black shirt without stripes neither designs or so, because of the reflexion in the glasses ! I experienced very bad surprises.
Sorry for not helping very much, but if you need tips about Greece in general and Athens in particular, please don't hesitate to ask. We felt in love with this country, and we are now on the way to buy a vacancy house there...
You can ask our greek friend C messier too, It happens very often that I my steps follow his steps (Chalkida, recently).
Anyway, enjoy your trip (by the way: 28 october is one of the two national days in Greece, museum entrances are for free !)
Αντίο και θα σας δω σύντομα !--Jebulon (talk) 17:47, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

Also, the last day of September is free for museums. Also, dear Jebulon, would you like to submit your photos of Karababas castle for WLM in Greece? --C messier (talk) 19:20, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

WLM in Greece ? No chance for win, I guess.--Jebulon (talk) 14:24, 17 September 2017 (UTC)BtW C messier, do you have the references of the site in the Greek cultural monuments list ?...Who knows ? --Jebulon (talk) 14:40, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

References of the site in the Greek cultural monuments list? You mean this: Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments in Greece/Sites? --C messier (talk) 07:57, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Yes ! Thank you !--Jebulon (talk) 08:13, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
@C messier:. Anyway,   Done. Let's see !--Jebulon (talk) 16:32, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the tips - I'll remember to wear black clothing. :) I have been to the museum before (it's an annual school trip) and tripods were definitely not allowed. That's common for museums, so I guess I'll try turning up the ISO instead. --Peulle (talk) 10:09, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
Update: I have been to the museum now, and moved on (currently in Nafplio), and I think I got some good images out of it. Pity I could not stay the full day and photograph everything. :)--Peulle (talk) 15:07, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
C messier and Jebulon, final update: many of my photos ended up too dark or too noisy, but I have posted some now. They are on my upload list if you want to have a look. :) --Peulle (talk) 11:06, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

Wertvolle Bilder – Valued imagesEdit

Freundliche Grüße -- Lothar Spurzem (talk) 22:26, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

@Spurzem: (Entschuldigung, ich verstehe was Du schreibsts, aber mein Deutsch is nicht gut genug für eine verständliche Antwort) Irony... I understand your disappointment. Again, your picture is valuable by itself, even maybe as a FP... Definition of "Scope" is the main issue, and I was often upset too, regarding my own nominations. Your withdraw is a wrong way to do.--Jebulon (talk) 10:19, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
