For bug reports or feature requests concerning my toolserver tools, please use the JIRA system.
It helps me keeping track of all the requests. Beats spreading them over half a dozen talk pages ;-)
Also : If the file upload bot transfered an unsuitable image from wikipedia or Flickr, don't ask me to fix it. I don't operate the bot; I only offer it, and someone else used it.

Parliament building of BeninEdit

Greetings,

I saw the picture mentionned in the subject on the Benin page as well as Porto-Novo page. And it is written that it is the siege of Benin Parliament. Please, note that this is wrong. The building name in French is Palais des Congrès which can be litteraly translated as Palace of Congress, but its purpose is just to host events like seminars, conference and meeting. Benin Parliament siege is the "Palais des Gouverneurs" in French. And it is located in Porto-Novo, not Cotonou. Since i'm not used to editing wikipedia articles, I think i might let you know so you can correct this.

Best regards

Gildas Jr.

Photo of inside of Cappella PalatinaEdit

Hello, Magnus.

Would it please be possible to have your permission to use your photo of the inside of the Cappella Palatina, specifically the one that shows the upper wall and part of the stalactite ceiling? I am writing a book on Norman Sicily and would really like to use this as the composition is so unusual. Thank you.

The Vernaccia picEdit

Hi, my name is Marco. I just would like to tell that the pic uploaded in the Vernaccia article it is not a Vernaccia from Sardinia, but (as stated on the label on the bottle) is a Vernaccia di San Gimignano. These two wines are quite different. I think the caption should be corrected. Best regards

image on wikipedia entry for margaret cavendishEdit

Hi Magnus,

The image you uploaded on the Margaret Cavendish page in Wikipedia does not represent her. According to her biography, Mad Madge, it is an image of Mary Lucas, her sister. Is it possible to remove it? It is misleading as is. This is the link to the image: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Margaret_Cavendish.jpg

Thanks!

please delete this picture, it's of me and i can't figure out how to delete itEdit

Mislabel leading to Embarrassing Situations "Patch Adams at Sarvodaya.jpg"Edit

Hello Magnus, My name is Derek Busby, and I am the assistant to Dr. Patch Adams. I am writing to you because the picture entitled "Patch Adams at Sarvodaya" has been incorrectly labeled. This picture is actually of Dr. Bowen White: http://bowenwhite.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/IMG_3774.jpg . While Drs. Adams and White are both amused by the mix-up, this picture has been used on several wikipedia pages (Spanish and Italian at least), and has been picked up by fans who came to believe this was a picture of Dr. Adams. We now have T-Shirts and a statue which feature the image of Dr. White, which have been presented to Dr. Adams--much to the confusion to all those involved. So, I would ask that you please edit this picture to reflect the reality that this is an image of Dr. Bowen White. Thank you. -Derek

The plant represented here - and on the associated file File:Asarum europaeum 'Asarabacca' (Aristolochiaceae) flower.jpg is not an asarum europaeum, but an erythronium dens-canis:

Perhaps an overlooked issue?Edit

Secondary cell energy density.svg

Contains an element labelled "Aluminum Cans"... I cannot find any reference to that as a battery type. Is this a copy/paste error?

User:CommonsDelinkerEdit

The bot has not been functioning for several days. Is this due to the cron problems that Labs is facing or does it just need to be restarted? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 16:18, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Restarted. --Steinsplitter (talk) 16:26, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Seems it is possibly stuck. It's not making edits, and there are a lot of stack traces in the error log. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 17:08, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
I think I got it to work again. 18K entries to go, so may take a while. --Magnus Manske (talk) 18:34, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi! Appears to be stucked again since 2015-04-10 09:55:47... Well, weekend now and some free time available: if you need help for some simple but stupid/boring tasks but which would help Commonsdelinker going on, just call :-). Gunnex (talk) 20:20, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
Odd, the job queue should have automatically restarted it. Restarted manually. --Magnus Manske (talk) 22:47, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

maximale Länge (Zeichenzahl incl. Erweiterung) für Dateinamen auf Wikimedia CommonsEdit

Hallo Magnus Manske,

HinweisEdit

Kannst du mal hier schauen? Sonst weiß da niemand weiter. Gruß, Luke081515 (talk) 15:05, 17 April 2015 (UTC) (Nachsiginiert)

Bureau of Automotive RepairEdit

The picture of the Headquarters for the Bureau of Automotive Repair is incorrect because the Bureau moved in May 2012.

Napoleon's toothbrushEdit

You have uploaded on Commons a picture of a toothbrush attributed to "Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte". Indeed, the handle is ornated with a crowned N, which is a personal emblem of the emperor Napoleon Ith. It is however dated 1795, but Napoleon was not Emperor until 1802. So there is a discrepancy here, the origin of which I cannot trace. Can you ? Can you correct it ? Thanks.

Trassiorf (talk) 12:06, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

I don't think I did, but it's hard without knowing the file name. Maybe it was uploaded using one of my tools by someone else? --Magnus Manske (talk) 13:40, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
