Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Bonjour,

Concernant le dessin File:Gare Charenton 1860.svg, j'ai petites 2 suggestions à vous faire pour améliorer la lecture du schéma :

indiquer la direction du nord (par une petite flèche)
indiquer la nature des 2 autres traits noirs, je suppose qu'il s'agit de la passerelle au centre et de la Marne à droite.

Par contre, je n'ai pas compris ce que représente le petit trait fin perpendiculaire aux voies, tout à gauche, avec 3 petits cercles

Autre chose. Je passe régulièrement en cet endroit avec le RER D (ce n'est pas facile de faire des photos "vu du train" à cause de la vitesse du train - même si elle a été diminué dernièrement - J'attendrai qu'il fasse beau temps... pour ouvrir la fenêtre, car là il fait un peu froid). Donc, je pense aussi que cet endroit semble bien être le seul possible pour la gare, l'espace est assez large entre la Marne et le début de la "Tranchée de Charenton".

Bonjour Poudou99, le fichier a été mis à jour avec les petites requêtes. J'ai ajouté le Canal de Saint-Maurice qui était de bonne notoriété à l'époque alors qu'aujourd'hui il a laissé place à l'autoroute A4. Pour ce qui est des images pas de problèmes les beaux jours arrivent et laisseront des occasions d'illustrer les articles encore mieux. A bientôt !. Math (d) 17:00, 3 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Mise à jour des correspondances sur les tracés de lignes de transport parisiennes edit

Bonjour,Mathgb,je voudrais que tu mets à jour (en 2016) les correspondances des stations, avec les lignes de transports (Métro, Transillien,Tramway ,Rer et lignes de Bus spéciales) soivent affichés et indiqués sur les plans des lignes horizontales et qu'ils soivent mis à jour (en 2016) que ce soit pour les correspondances avec les 16 lignes actuelles du Métro Parisien, les 9 lignes actuelles du Tramway d’Île-de-France, les 8 Lignes actuelles du Transillien, les 5 lignes actuelles du RER, les lignes de Bus spéciales actuelles (TVM et Bus 393) et certaines lignes du TER.Je veux que tu affiches la correspondance à distance comme sur les plans de lignes de la Ratp via ce lien (https://image.freepik.com/icones-gratuites/personne-qui-marche_318-29235.png). Je souhaiterais aussi que tu affiches les logos des lignes TVM,BUS 393,T6,T7 et du T8 pour qu'elles soient bien visibles comme correspondances sur les plans de lignes et afficher toutes les stations en correspondances avec un point blanc sur le tracé comme pour ce lien : http://p6.storage.canalblog.com/62/36/1127997/88297517_o.jpg. Utilisation Wikimedia Commons vs d'OpenStreetMap pour l'intégration de cartes interractives edit

Bonjour Mathgb, Je voudrais te poser une simple question concernant l'utilisation de cartes interactives, notamment Data:Plan de la ligne Central-Var.map que tu as créé et incorporé sur la page Wikipédia associée[1]. Merci d'ailleurs pour le travail que tu as réalisé. J'aimerais effectuer la même intégration sur des pages Wikipédia de lignes ferroviaires présentes ou passés, mais pour ma part en utilisant les données déjà présentes sur OpenStreetMap. Par exemple pour la Ligne Central-Var, je vois que ces données existaient dans la base OSM[2]. Pourrais-tu me dire pourquoi tu n'as pas utilisé celles-ci ?
