Spülfeld in Westoverledingen

Hallo Matthias, weißt Du noch, wo Du in Westoverledingen dieses Spülfeld (File:Spuelfeld937.jpg, File:Spuelfeld938.jpg) geknipst hast? Ich frage, weil ich derzeit Bilder von Spülfeldern sammle, die alle nicht als solche kategorisiert sind, um sie eben zu kategorisieren. Sie auch [1].

Wiki Loves Earth 2018

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

im Namen von Organisationsteam und Jury danke ich Dir für Deine Teilnahme bei Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland.

Im Jahr 2018 wurden ebenso wie im Vorjahr etwa 24.000 Fotos hochgeladen, von denen viele die Artikel und Listen der Wikipedia illustrieren werden. Die Teilnehmerzahl lag diesmal bei 683, im Vorjahr waren es 1063.

Unsere Jury hat die Top100 der Bilder aus Deutschland ausgewählt. Die zehn bestplatzierten Fotos nehmen an der internationalen Ausscheidung teil.

Falls Du Lust auf einen weiteren Fotowettbewerb hast: Im September läuft Wiki Loves Monuments, wo Bilder von denkmalgeschützten Gebäuden eingereicht werden können.

Concorso Wiki Loves Monuments Italia 2018 (English version)

Gentile Matthias Süßen, ti ringraziamo ancora una volta per la tua passata partecipazione a Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM). Il più grande concorso fotografico del mondo si svolge anche questo settembre per documentare e promuovere il patrimonio culturale italiano, con una licenza copyright libera.

Quest'anno è doppiamente facile partecipare: gli oggetti fotografabili coprono quasi 1000 comuni in più, grazie all'adesione di centinaia di nuovi enti fra cui Roma, e alla possibilità di fotografare circa 2000 alberi monumentali. Controlla le liste di monumenti fotografabili! Carica tutte le foto che hai e magari organizza una visita presso i monumenti che ancora non hanno una foto.

Quest'oggi il Parlamento europeo ha respinto la proposta di estendere la libertà di panorama. E allora scattiamo e pubblichiamo tutte le foto che possiamo, almeno per questi monumenti per cui ci è legalmente consentito!

Hallo Matthias, bist Du seit 70 Jahren tot? Und gab es vor 70 Jahren schon elektronische Kameras? Ich frage, weil das offensichtlich mit einer elektronische Kamera erstellte Bild File:Hinta.jpg von Dir als "own work" mit der Erlaubnis "Author died more than 70 years ago - public domain" hochgeladen wurde. Wiki Loves Earth 2019

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2019 kannst Du wieder beim Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth Deutschland (WLE 2019) teilnehmen. Gesucht sind selbst aufgenommene Landschafts- und Naturfotos aus Schutzgebieten in Deutschland.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg kann diese Übersichtsseite dienen.

WLE 2019 kann nur durchgeführt werden, wenn weitere Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen unser Team verstärken. Es geht unter anderem um die Organisation in der Wikipedia und das Sortieren der Bilder auf Commons. Über Art und Umfang der Beteiligung entscheidest Du selbst.

Wie in den Vorjahren übernimmt eine Vorjury ab Anfang Mai die Vorauswahl der Bilder. Auch daran kannst Du Dich gern beteiligen. Bei Interesse trage Dich bitte unter WLE-Vorjury ein, das Passwort kommt per E-Mail.

Besonders engagierte Freiwillige werden für die Jury benötigt. Wenn Du vom 12. bis 14. Juli in Fulda die besten Bilder küren willst, melde Dich auf der Jury-Seite.

Kannst du vielleicht bei File:Koniks Geltinger Birk-msu-5089.jpg, File:SonnenuntergangFehmarn-msu-0832.jpg und File:Koniks Geltinger Birk-msu-5091.jpg noch ergänzen, wo genau du es/sie fotografiert hast? Für die Wettbewerbsteilnahme ist es nämlich notwendig, dass wir die Fotos eindeutig einem bestimmten Schutzgebiet/Objekt zuordnen können. Wie du die Infos noch bis zum 31. Mai 2019 nachtragen kannst, ist in der Kurzanleitung erklärt. Bei Fragen kannst du dich auch gerne an mich wenden. Gruß --Derzno (talk) 05:32, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Wenn du ein Problem damit hast, dass deine Windmühlen und Leuchttürme nicht am WLE2019 teilnehmen, solltest du das besser unter de:Wikipedia Diskussion:Wiki Loves Earth 2019/Deutschland/Organisation diskutieren. Für mich jedenfalls haben diese Bauwerke keinen Bezug zur Natur, auch wenn sie in x- Schutzgebieten liegen sollten. Schönen Rest-Sonntag noch --Derzno (talk) 16:50, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Moin. Jetzt werd doch nicht gleich pampig. Ich verstehe nicht, wie Bilder von Objekten, die 2018 noch unter den Top 1000 waren, plötzlich nicht mehr gelten sollten. Hinzu kommt, dass ausgerechnet dieses Gebäude durch seine Funktion als Ent- und dann Bewässerungsmühle durchaus landschaftsbildprägend war und irgendwo auch noch ist. Ohne die Mühle keine Birk. Damit hat sie für mich durchaus einen sehr starken Bezug zur Natur. Gleiches werde ich bei de:Wikipedia Diskussion:Wiki Loves Earth 2019/Deutschland/Organisation posten. Pampig? Du bist leider nicht der Einzige. 2700 Bilder sind zu checken. Nehmen wir mal 2 min pro Bild--> 5400 min --> 90h Arbeit. Dann kommen noch etwa bei jedem 10ten Bild Grundsatzdiskussionen/Nachfragen * x und dann richtige "Pampigkeiten" wie "lese doch mal richtig, das ist am Bach bei der Linde am Ende des Dorfes aufgenommen" dazu. Wenn ich schon mir die Mühe mache zu helfen bin ich nicht der Spielball von mal so und mal so. Egal, muss ich mir nicht antun und bin jetzt raus. Sorry for confussion, wünsche noch viel Erfolg. Wiki Loves Monuments 2019

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2019 findet zum neunten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Es sind viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die sich über Fotos freuen. Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Du bist interessiert, am Wettbewerb mitzuwirken, dir fehlt aber die richtige Technik? Dann wirf doch mal einen Blick in den Technikpool und das Technikleihportal von Wikimedia Deutschland! Dort findest du Kameras, Objektive und Zubehör verschiedenster Art. Sollte noch Technik fehlen, die aber in Zukunft unbedingt benötigt wird, dann freut sich Wikimedia Deutschland über dein Feedback zum Technikpool.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Mitte September 2019 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Wiki Loves Earth 2020

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 30. Juni 2020 findet zum achten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Deutschland ist zum siebten Mal dabei. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Dieses Jahr ist es aufgrund der Ausgangsbeschränkungen schwieriger aktuelle Fotos zu machen, deshalb läuft der Wettbwerb dieses Mal zwei Monate. Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen. Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du hier und vor allem unter dieser Anleitung. Falls du im Moment nicht wie sonst in die Natur fahren kannst, findest du vielleicht in den Tiefen deiner Festplatte oder auf dem Smartphone noch interessante Fotos.

Du möchtest am Wettbewerb teilnehmen, dir fehlt aber die richtige Technik? Dann wirf doch mal einen Blick in den Technikpool und das Technikleihportal von Wikimedia Deutschland! Dort findest du Kameras, Objektive und Zubehör verschiedenster Art. Sollte noch Technik fehlen, die deiner Meinung nach angeschafft werden sollte, freut sich Wikimedia Deutschland über dein Feedback zum Technikpool.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, vom 1. Mai bis 31. Juli 2020 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im August tagen wird, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Earth 2020 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Nice Sunset

Hello Matthias

I'm not much of a fan of sunrise/sunset pictures. Years ago I had a sunrise/sunset period and because of the colors they get a lot of applause so everybody does them. As a result there are too many of them and I burned out on them sometime back. Your Sunrise at Westensee is the first sunset picture I've seen in years that I admire. Good job! Hello, Jim Evans. Thank you so much for your message, which I enjoyed. I feel much the same with sunsets. There is a fine line between kitsch and class - I prefer to intentionally cross it often. Sometimes I'm on one side and sometimes I'm on the other. In fact I love the light in the early morning and late evening hours. Sunrise photos are often only a side-effect of this. In this case I had actually gotten up early to take pictures for WLE. Unfortunately there were hardly any animals at the spot ;-) and so I only came back with some sunrise pictures. But taking pictures is like fishing: Sometimes you are lucky and sometimes not. In this sense: Have a good time and good luck. Commons Photographers User Group: Meeting on September 26 and other stuff

Dear member of the Commons Photographers User Group,

I've got a quick update for you, containing three items:

• I’d like to invite you to our group’s second Virtual Meeting on Saturday, September 26, 2020. As last time, this meeting will serve as an opportunity to get to know each other better, share learnings, and connect in times of the global COVID-19 pandemic. If you'd like to present, please add your name and the proposed topic to the list on the talk page.
• Also, I'd like to start a conversation about how we should be sharing responsibility for the user group going forward. I'd love to get some help when it comes to organizing things and I'm convinced that we can achieve more if a couple of people helped with coordinating stuff.
• Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has asked me to spread the word about their latest survey: Universal Code of Conduct Survey. The goal is to create a safer environment on Wikimedia projects and the Foundation gathers feedback prior to coming up with a first draft.

Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Obwohl es den Wettbewerb seit zehn Jahren gibt, sind immer noch viele Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die sich über Fotos freuen. Es haben sich auch Kulturdenkmale verändert, sie wurden saniert oder umgestaltet. Diese Entwicklung kann auch gezeigt werden. Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Next Commons Photographers meeting featuring large format photographer Ben Horne

Dear member of the Commons Photographers User Group,

I'm happy to invite you to our next virtual meeting on Saturday, March 20, at the usual time. As I mentioned during our last get-together, I'd like to invite external guests every now and then, given that it seems good to expand our view and learn something from someone outside our community.

Our first external guest, Ben Horne, will talk about large format wilderness photography, followed by a question-and-answer session. Ben is maybe one of best known contemporary large format photographers in the United States. On his excursions to national parks, he shoots 8×10 film and talks about his adventures on his YouTube channel which has attracted more than 48,000 followers so far. He is YouTube's first, and longest active landscape photography vlogger and I'm thrilled that he has agreed to join our next meeting and talk about his experiences.

Wie du bei den Top 5 des vergangenen Jahres siehst, sind vor allem Tiere unter den Siegerbildern. Aus diesem Grund setzen wir den Fokus dieses Jahr stärker auf Landschaftsaufnahmen. Aber natürlich haben auch Tierbilder eine Chance zu gewinnen.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. WLE - zusätzliche Unterscheidung

Hallo Matthias, vielen Dank für deine schönen Bilder für WLE 2021.

Wir mussten aufgrund der internationalen Vorgaben relativ kurzfristig eine kleine Änderung noch vor Beginn des Wettbewerbs vornehmen. Es wird unterschieden zwischen Detail- und Landschaftsaufahmen. Als Landschaft gelten auch als Naturdenkmal ausgewiesen Bäume als Detail vor allem Blumen und Tiere. Auch bei den Siegerbildern soll so unterschieden werden.

Wer mit dem WLE-Upload-Wizard hochlädt, muss dies direkt auswählen, so dass die Fotos direkt unterschieden werden. Bei Fotos, die ohne diesen Upload-Wizard hochgeladen werden, muss das nachgetragen werden. Wir haben das mal bei deinen Fotos gemacht. Ich hoffe, dass das aus deiner Sicht passt.

Kannst du bei deinen zukünftigen Uplods bitte eine der beiden cats noch zufügen "Category:Images from Wiki Loves Earth 2021, DE detail‎" oder "Category:Images from Wiki Loves Earth 2021, DE landscape‎"

Moin @Z thomas: . Danke für den Hinweis. Ich muss mich bei WLE immer wieder neu einarbeiten. Bei vielen meiner Bilder habe ich gestern die Kats noch nachgetragen, bei einigen habe ich das dann wohl noch vergessen. Bitte entschuldigt die Mehrarbeit, die ich Euch damit verursacht habe. Wiki Loves Monuments 2021

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2021 findet zum elften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Obwohl es den Wettbewerb seit über zehn Jahren gibt, sind immer noch viele Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Im Herzen Deutschlands in Thüringen und in Niedersachsen sind neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die auf Fotos warten. Übrigens in der Hauptstadt Thüringens in Erfurt findet dieses Jahr die WikiCon vom 1. bis 3. Oktober statt. Dies könnte man mit einem Foto-Kurzurlaub vor der WikiCon in Thüringen verbinden …

Vor dem Hintergrund der Flutkatastrophe 2021 haben wir auch drei Sonderpreise ausgelobt. Damit sollen Fotos prämiert werden, die Kulturdenkmale zeigen, die zerstört wurden. Das Foto kann das Objekt vor oder nach der Zerstörung zeigen.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Um dieses Bild geht es

Hallo Matthias,

ich wollte nur fragen, ob Du diese Diskussion gesehen hast (das mit dem Ping und dem Erwähnen von Benutzernamen funktioniert ja nicht immer). Ein wirklich großartiges Foto von Dir, das zu Recht als Featured Picture nominiert wurde – die Anhäuser Mauer kann ja je nach Licht auch einfach sehr langweilig aussehen, hier ist es Dir gelungen, sie wunderbar in Szene zu setzen! Leider gibt es Kritik an eine bestimmten Partie im Kornfeld, und tatsächlich stört diese Stelle den Gesamteindruck ein bisschen. Hast Du eventuell Zeit, das noch einmal anzusehen? Das wäre super und würde das Bild noch besser machen – ich denke, diese Aufnahme ist so gut, dass sie die Arbeit verdient hat.

(Bitte nicht missverstehen: Ich schreibe das nicht, weil ich an Deinem Bild herummeckern will. Ich versuche, auf der FPC-Seite konstruktiv und ausgleichend unterwegs zu sein und den anderen Nominierenden mit Hinweisen zu helfen statt irgendwelche Kleinkriege zu führen. Da ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob Du die Diskussion überhaupt mitbekommen hast [wie gesagt, das Pingen funktioniert wohl nicht immer], wollte ich sicherstellen, dass Du einbezogen wirst.)

Das Bild habe ich nicht nominiert und mir fehlt gerade auch die Zeit, da eine bessere Version hochzuladen. Momentan ist es mir sogar unmöglich, da ich unterwegs bin und keinen Zugriff auf die Originaldatei habe. Die Kandidatur muss ich also so durchlaufen lassen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Seit dem vergangenen Jahr ist der Wettbewerb zweigeteilt, das heißt wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Bereichen Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zu Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. Im Bereich Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Wiki Loves Monuments 2022

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2022 findet zum zwölften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Sieger 2021 – Schloss Langenburg

Vergangenes Jahr hat Matthias Süßen mit einer Drohnenaufnahme von Schloss Langenburg im Morgennebel gewonnen. Welcher Fotograf wird dieses Jahr sein Nachfolger?

Nach WLM 2022 sind wieder zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden – zum Beispiel die Denkmallisten in Cloppenburg oder in Oldenburg.

Wir haben dieses Jahr unter dem Motto „Klein aber Oho“ drei Sonderpreise für Kleindenkmale ausgelobt. Damit sollen Fotos prämiert werden, die die unterschätzten Kleindenkmale wie Grenzsteine oder Bildstöcke zeigen.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Anfang September 2022 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Moin Quarz. Ich lade die Bilder ja direkt aus Lightroom hoch. Da könnte man die Angaben auch direkt einsetzen. Bei drei Bremer Bilder lohnte sich das in diesem Jahr nicht. Bilder Neue Kirche Pellworm

Du hattest bei WLM bisher schon viele Bilder von Kirchen aus S-H hochgeladen. Hast Du zufälligerweise auch mal was von der Neuen Kirche auf Pellworm gemacht? Ich habe seit langer Zeit den Artikel dazu fertig, aber es gibt kein einziges Bild von der Kirche und ganz ohne Bild wollte ich den Artikel nicht raus geben. Leider ist Pellworm auch für mich nicht "mal eben am Wochenende" zu erreichen, sonst hätte ich da schon lange mal vorbei geschaut. Gruß Dirtsc (talk) 08:30, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

FP-Nominierung M.-E.-Lüders-Haus

Hallo Matthias, ich hoffe, ich habe Dich bei Deiner Nominierung des Fotos vom M.-E.-Lüders-Haus mit meinem Hinweis auf Perspektivenprobleme und CAs nicht geärgert. Das Foto ist wirklich toll, aber früher oder später hätte irgendjemand diese Dinge kritisiert, und daher habe ich versucht, gleich in einer konstruktiven Weise darauf hinzuweisen, bevor jemand anderes (wir haben da so Spezialisten … ;–) eine große vernichtende Kritik schreibt. Nun ist die Perspektive super, nur die orangenen Bereiche rechts stören noch. Tatsächlich kann das Entfernen von CAs u.Ä. manchmal wirklich tricky sein, wie ich aus eigener Erfahrung weiß. Nur als Angebot: Soll ich mal mein Glück versuchen? Wenn Du mir irgendwo ein TIFF oder ein JPEG in höchster Qualitätseinstellung hochlädst, bei dem Du zwar die Perspektive usw. korrigiert hast (aktueller Stand), aber die Entfernung der CAs wieder zurückgenommen hast, sodass die orangenen Bereiche weg sind, versuche ich mal, die CAs zu entfernen. Lieber Aristeas. Gar kein Problem. Wenn Dateien nur abgenickt würden, wäre das ja auch doof. Ich schätze Kritik durchaus und habe mal eine neue Version hochgeladen, bei der der merkwürdige Saum beim Kran weg ist. Magst Du mal gucken. Ansonsten kann ich Dir sicher ein TIFF zukommen lassen. Question from the CPUG Board

Dear user group member,

I'm writing you to today on behalf of the board of the Commons Photographers User Group. The past year has been a busy one for us. In 2022, we've had more activities than ever before in the history of our group and you'll find an overview on our group's page.

With that being said, 2022 was also a year of learning for the current board members. Most of us hadn't been involved in running the Photographers User Group and we spent quite some time on getting used to our new roles. We all feel it was a steep learning curve.

That's why, at our last board meeting, we decided to ask our members whether they'd be ok with us serving for another year. Extending our board duties to the end of 2023 would allow us to continue the work we've started this year, and to benefit from the knowledge we've built over the past twelve months.

However, in the end, it's up to you and the other members of our group to decide whether such an extension of our board term should be granted. I invite you to voice your opinion on this page:

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.

Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Der Wettbewerb ist zweigeteilt, das heißt wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Wettbewerbskategorien Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zu Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. In der Wettbewerbskategorie Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen – zum Beispiel in Sachsen die Liste der Naturdenkmale in Wurzen.

Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2023 – Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung.

Damit der Upload für dich einfacher ist, haben wir in diesem Jahr die einzelnen Hochladeseiten für die Bundesländer abgeschafft, alle Fotos werden über dasselbe Formular hochgeladen. Außerdem haben wir das Layout unserer WLE-Seiten geändert.

Falsche Kategorie

Moin, Ich glaube dir ist beim Upload was durcheinander geraten, viele deiner neuen Bilder sind in der WLE-Kategorie, obwohl sie Gebäude zeigen. --Stephan Sprinz (talk) 07:01, 6 June 2023 (UTC)

Moin und danke für den Hinweis. Die Vorlage war bei Lightroom noch standardmäßig für den Upload eingetragen. Die Bilder habe ich ja eh erst nach Wettbewerbsende hochgeladen. Habe das jetzt aber sowohl bei Lightroom als auch hier korrigiert. Grundsätzlich ist es mMn aber kein Problem, bei WLM Bilder von Gebäuden hochzuladen. Hallo Matthias! Deine Datei File:Druffelscher Hof Königsstraße 5 (Münster)-msu-0421.jpg sollte umbenannt werden. Der Druffelsche Hof ist links neben dem Gebäude und nur am Rand zu sehen. Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 - Deutschland

Hallo Matthias Süßen,

Sieger 2022 – Kloster Paulinzella

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2023 findet zum dreizehnten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Vergangenes Jahr hat Radomianin mit einer Gesamtansicht von Kloster Paulinzella gewonnen. Welcher Fotograf oder welche Fotografin tritt dieses Jahr die Nachfolge an?

Nach WLM 2022 sind wieder zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden – zum Beispiel die Denkmallisten in Waltershausen in Thüringen oder in Fulda.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Für das einfache Auffinden haben wir eine Upload-Karte erstellt, in der viele aber leider noch nicht alle Kulturdenkmale angezeigt werden können. Das Laden der Objekte dauert dort etwas.

Wir haben dieses Jahr „drei Sonderpreise für Bilder von Friedhöfen“ ausgelobt. Zugelassen sind für den Sonderpreis auch Fotos von Friedhöfen, die nicht denkmalgeschützt sind.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Anfang September 2023 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Flickypedia soft launch and a huge thank you

Dear fellow Commons photographer,

I hope this message finds you well. As you might already know, the Flickr Foundation has been busy creating a new Flickr-to-Commons bridge (“Flickypedia”) this year. After a successful demo at the GLAM Wiki Conference in Montevideo, the Flickr Foundation team is now inviting all members of the Commons Photographers User Group to be the first to review their alpha, reporting any technical issues or other feedback via the Flickypedia project talk page.

At the same time, this message is an opportunity for me to thank you for your trust and support over the past couple of years. Since 2017, we've grown into being one of the largest user groups in the Wikimedia universe. I've tremendously enjoyed interacting with all of our members when it came to joint photowalks at Wikimanias, virtual Zoom meetings where we covered a wide variety of photography topics, as well as our annual “Most memorable shot of the year”, among many other events. As I'm not running for an official position in our current board election, this will be my last message on behalf of the user group to you. Thanks for all the happy moments we shared together over the years! I hope you'll continue creating free images for the millions of people we serve through Wikipedia and Commons.
