@Ymblanter: What's a problem with the image? I asked before in wiki tea house about images from Voice of America (VOA) and tea house host StarryGrandma answered me that we can upload images from VOA, because all photo by VOA are thing of public heritage. Where will be discussion, can you give me link? I will vote against the deletion obvious. PoetVeches (talk) 19:49, 7 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Photo of a Russian newspaper; Obshaya Gazeta (rus. Общая газета).jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

@Patrick Rogel: I called the Russian name of newspaper. This is not a copy, but I photoed a composition that consists of my glasses and newspaper. The text of newspaper is not readable, logo is seen but not the main part of photo. So I put the di minimis template about the newspaper. Now I added just for any case their former copyright (in Russian language). This newspaper is defunct since 2002, so additional information to find in Russian language will be difficult or even impossible, because of the laws in Soviet Union all were changed several time, so this is very problem until now. The right on the newspaper was bought, name changed, then edition stopped at all, while Russian laws continued to change. I think the name of newspaper is enough for understanding that this was a newspaper that may have of copyright holder. The target of photo to give readers the chance watch in general how newspaper looked. It's not just a copy of text, photos and design to use this for something more. Text is not the issue; the full images are. --Patrick Rogel (talk) 15:24, 10 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Patrick Rogel: , do you think all photos of men reading New York Times are subject of newspaper copyright holder because you can see the logo? While this newspaper is not readable, I can see this as de minimis issue. You cannot crop this photo apart to use the logo of eg New York Times, because this part may subject of copyright, but all men reading are not a part of New York Times copyright. That is all I have to say. If you have xp with such sort of deletion and think you are right, let it be. I like the photo, but this photo of the paper is not a secret, it's just example of mass culture in publishing area, so there is no arch-valuable price in that.
