MineralogyEdit

Dear Ra'ike,

I’m glad to let you know, that the perfect photograph of the mineral Calcite, taken by you in the Mineralogical Museum, Bonn, Germany, has helped greatly to illustrate polymorphism in crystallography in the article Mineralogy (section Physical properties). Also I was amazed by incredible excellency of the images of minerals in your file: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Files_by_User:Ra%27ike_from_de.wikipedia they are made with the touch of high professionalism, taste and love to the fantastic world of minerals. It is a privilege for any article to be illustrated by the images of such quality, and I hope to use some of them, as a great photo-material for the Wikipedia pages in future.

Also, as I’m sure in your interest in Mineralogy, I would like to invite you to have a look at the, created collectively, image of the Mineralogical Barnstar: I consider the Mineralogy, as a very important and endlessly interesting field of science, which deserves to the nth degree to have its own Wikipedia Mineralogy Barnstar, and if you agree with this statement and will find the design of the Mineralogy Barnstar a good one, please, give your support in the discussion of this Barnstar in the section Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wikipedia Awards.

The Mineralogy Barnstar is awarded to appreciate the contributions of users to the coverage of mineralogy subjects on Wikipedia.

This section is not visited very often by Wikipedians, and the authors of new Barnstar usually invite for discussion those Editors, who are interested in the related field of science, art, etc. Next week I’ll upload Mineralogy Barnstar to following section: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wikipedia_Awards

If you’ll decide to participate (for that you will need to write: “Support -” and to give a short comment in the section, mentioned above), it could be great, if you will let me know; then I’ll tell you the date, when the Mineralogy Barnstar will be upload.

Hi Chris Oxford, thank you very much for this wonderful Mineralogy Barnstar. I am very happy about this :-)
It's also really nice to say, that my picture of the mineral is a perfect example. I think, there are better one here or there, but it's ok to use my picture ;-)
If you like to develop an own barnstar for the mineralogical sector, it's ok, too. If you need my support, you will get it. Let me know, when it's time, please.
Best regards -- Ra'ike T C 19:47, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Dear Ra'ike, I will let you know the exact date of apploading this Saturday evening. Probably, I will do it even Sunday morning, but I am not sure right now. Great thanks. Regards, Chris Oxford.Chris Oxford (talk) 08:03, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

Dear Ra'ike,

So, as previously assumed, I’ll upload Mineralogy Barnstar this Sunday morning (30/10).

At 9-10 p.m. UK time Star will be on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wikipedia_Awards

We will see how it will go; hope for the best.
