Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

categories and so-called 'over-categorization'

Hi , welcome, and I guess, you would like learn about categorization. Adding too many categories to your uploads, may occur so called over-categorization, i.e. it's not helpful to categorize, for instance Category:Anaimalai Hills forest+Category:Roads in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve+Category:Monsoon in Kerala+Category:Flora of Kerala+Category:Plants of Kerala+Category:Trees in Idukki district is misleading, in fact wrong. To categorize plants, for instance, please add the species botanical name (if you may precise) and the location, for instance Category:Flora of Idukki district, or, more precise, Category:Flora of Munnar, etc, which are sub-categories (imagine a tree-related categorisation structure) of Kerala-related flora. Category:Unidentified ...

Hi Renjusplace, if you can't identify the species please use the unidentified category if ever possible. For instance

• in case of File:Fulgoromorpha.jpg use Category:Unidentified Fulgoromorpha instead of Category:Fulgoromorpha,
• in case of File:Argiope sp 2.jpg use Category:Unidentified Argiope instead of Category:Argiope.
