- I've received verbal permission from the University of Calgary Media Relations office to upload and post several publicly available photos of the University of Calgary. - Wikimedia needs more than just verbal confirmation (I mean, verbal communication to just you is not something thats tangible for the Wikimedia community...). In short, its not just the "permission" we need, but confirmation that the University of Calgary will release these specific images under a free and compatible copyright license (typically CC BY-SA). I'd suggest reviewing Commons:OTRS and English Wikipedia:WP:COPYREQ for further details on that entire process, because as of now, without that confirmation of the release under a new license, those images would still be NFC, and should be removed if not rectified. Please review this link: https://www.ucalgary.ca/mediacentre/photos - it clearly states the photos available on that page are for media use.
