Embedding color profiles

Hi Wladyslaw,

I noticed your discussion with benh regarding the issue with missing embedded color profiles. I know that you have tried to figure out to embed the color profiles previously in your workflow, I recall a discussion about it on Diliffs page for instance. I do not know your workflow and tools, so I do not know how to fix it such that they are always embedded. But it is quite easy to fix in a postprocessing step using exiftools. It also appears you are uncertain why it is at all important. For this I have three references for you, which are quite fast to read. I hope you will find it useful.

• What is embedded color space information?
• Embed ICC Color Profile in JPEG using exiftool cmd line tool
• User:Colin/BrowserTest Demonstration of how colors are distorted on a wide gamut monitor displaying images tagged as sRGB but without an embedded color profile and many other example of how the images that may look good on your monitor even without the embedded data, but with completely wrong on other systems.
