Respecto a recolocar fotografías en artículos de Ministros Venezolanos de principios de siglo XX...

Estimado Photographer, recibe un cordial saludo.

Revisando hoy dos artículos en los que estuve involucrado, especificamente de [César González Martínez] y de [Rubén González Cárdenas]; he notado que varias de las fotografías fueron removidas, no estoy seguro si por ti o por el usuario JuTa, a quien planeo escribirle también.

En realidad, la situación es: Las fotografías removidas en cuestión se encuentran físicamente conmigo y pertenecen a la colección familiar. Sin embargo, imagino que seleccioné las licencias equivocadas al subirlas a WikiCommons. Al darle vueltas a tu perfil, me doy cuenta que tienes experiencia montando imagenes en Wikipedia, y por lo tanto me gustaría saber tu opinión de como manejar la parte de copyright de imagenes.

Te cuento que para subir fotografías de otras personas necesitas tener su permiso y no es suficiente con tener una foto física, a menos de que la persona haya muerto hace al menos 70 años, en ese caso, pasan al domínio público. --The Photographer (talk) 17:58, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

@Baseball Bugs: Yes, he was banned for an account that is not in our community, has not been approved by anyone within this community and that blocked the user with a supposedly logical reason, however, hidden (because its a good practice) even to him. Sure. I was just getting at the fact that notifications to him are unlikely to be read. That doesn't mean you shouldn't post them as a matter of procedure. Just don't expect any response. Your post on my talk page

You post on my talk page: "Wikimedia Foundation Lover" is unwelcome to me for two reasons. Firstly, it misunderstands the issue for me, which is about a bully being allowed by this community to edit simply because he has an impressive upload log. WMF shamed us collectively by doing what we should should have done a long time ago. This isn't a WMF issue: it's a dysfunctional community issue. Secondly, I can't read the phrase "---- lover" without hearing echos of "nigger lover". To quote "To Kill a Mockingbird":

The Photographer, it is difficult to understand what you meant by Wikimedia Foundation Lover. It is clear and should be appreciated if you have said Wikimedia Lover. But Foundation is a private entity; and there is not much to appreciate if someone love it or not. Colin, my understanding is that his old camera is dead now. I think he mentioned it somewhere. @both: There is indeed some positive criticism in Colin's comment to The Photographer. But I don't know how he (or his friends as I see some strange participation probably from IRC here) take it considering some recent developments. There seems some language problems too which makes some frictions. Anyway, it is up to you two as this is your talk page. If you can maintain mutual respect and criticize each other with a positive spirit, it is wonderful. If not, a voluntary interaction ban may good for your health.
