Code issues in User:Vulphere/timeless.cssEdit

Hi Vulphere, I am a bored bot (this is kind of a computer program) that is watching the recent changes and tapping buttons like I did now.

Curious about the reason? Possibly not but I will tell you anyway:

  1. You edited User:Vulphere/timeless.css. Glad to see you coding in css! Have you ever considered becoming a MediaWiki hacker?
  2. Though, that change appears to introduce 1 new prettyCss issue — the page's status is now having ERRORS. Note that invalid or ambiguous code often has unwanted side effects like breaking other tools for you. If you cannot find out how to fix it, I suggest blanking the page for now.
  3. To help you understanding where the issues are, I have aggregated a report here and now. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask users experienced in css writing for help. But do not ask the bot's operators (chronically overwrought) unless you suspect an error of mine. If you prefer not getting spammed by me, you can opt-out reports by adding {{ValidationOptOut|type=all}} to your user page or cmb-opt-out anywhere on your your global user page on Meta. Good luck at Wikimedia Commons and happy hacking!

Welcome, Dear Filemover!Edit

Hi Vulphere, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

  • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
  • Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
  • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

Thanks for recently renaming some of my files. What puzzles me is that you surpressed the redirect on files that had been on the previous filename for nearly 10 years. Why was that? Careerfromhome (talk) 09:18, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
Because your files are not used in any projects here and I surpressed the redirects because new names are more appropriate. It is there any problems?--Vulphere 09:37, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
The problem is with external usage with InstantCommons, as mentioned above, where here at Commons we have no way of identifying fileusage and which breaks when there is no redirect. That is why such supression is normally limited to vandalism and files that have very recently been uploaded. Careerfromhome (talk) 09:44, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
Alright, I have recreated redirect to your files. Sorry for wasting your time.--Vulphere 10:04, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for that. It is something that is not so commonly known on commons. Careerfromhome (talk) 10:23, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Optimization of uploaded images is undesiredEdit

Please do not remove e.g. <title>...</title> in SVGs. I'm aware that optimization is somehow controversial, see User:JoKalliauer/Optimization for details. However optimization does generally not justify a reupload, see Help:SVG#Tidying up for details.  — Johannes Kalliauer - Talk | Contributions 19:48, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

Removing rdf-metadata in SVG, as you did, can be considered as a copyright-violation.  — Johannes Kalliauer - Talk | Contributions 20:02, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
