Born in 1967, on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons since 2021. My name is actually Giò. I was lucky enough to live in London in its richest and probably best period... (before 2017), and I currently live happily in Italy, in Emilia Romagna.
I am an admirer of San Marino, being particularly attracted by its history, spectacular monuments, architecture, fortifications, and breathtaking overhanging towers. I am an IT Manager and Security Advisor, with a passion for travel and photography.
I like to collaborate on Wikipedia documenting with my photographs topics related to architecture and art.
On Commons, I upload images with my smartphone, action camera and a Canon EOS M50 smart compact camera.
Today I use MILC (mirrorless) cameras almost exclusively using a very good Canon mobility lens (Canon EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM) which guarantee the fidelity and distortion-free quality I am currently looking for, which is essential for my composition work.
All my technical choices and personal growth in the photographic field have been continuously fueled by the fact that I actively participate in the Wikimedia community, where I can chat with photographers with exceptional experience and expertise.
There are also administrators and collaborators who, thanks to their commitment, guarantee the platform's functioning.
Finally,
thank you all!

It is a wooden door created by Giorgio Razzani in 1631. It was the main entrance to the hospital known as the Santissimo Crocifisso hospital, built in the mid-15th century in Cesena at the behest of Malatesta Novello. It was rebuilt in 1776-95 by Agostino Azzolini following the original project. In the mid 19th century the palace was rebuilt again and once again this wooden monument is still there!
