English: Route 71: Woking town centre, Kingfield, Elmbridge Lane Estate, Rydens Way Estate, Old Woking, Maybury Inn, Maybury Hill, Maybury Road, Woking town centre (circular). Some journeys ran in the other direction to the rest (thus using Walton Road instead of Maybury Road due to the one way system).

As part of Phase 1 of Surrey County Council's Bus Review, route 71 was withdrawn. Routes 462 and 463 were diverted via Rydens Way and Elmbridge Lane Estate as a partial replacement. The section of route from Old Woking to Woking town centre via Maybury Inn and Maybury Hill was withdrawn without replacement. Along with the diversion of route 437 away from Maybury Inn, that area became no longer served by regular buses, the Peterbus 2 service becoming the only route in the area. Original proposals were for route 71 to remain, however Countryliner's decision to take on routes 462 and 463 commercially changed the plans. The changes came into effect on 28 August 2010, therefore route 71's last day was 27 August 2010.
