English: The War Memorial, dedicated in 1932, connects Lyon Hall and McFaddin Hall. It commemorates the Cornell’s 264 casualties during World War One. The two towers adjacent to Lyon and McFaddin Halls were originally dedicated to the Army and Navy, with each room inside the towers dedicated to a person or group of people. The cloister joining the two towers contains sixteen panels engraved with the names of Cornell students, alumni and faculty who died in World War One.
