Comment Please note, there seems to be a copyright on the packaging. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk ) 11:59, 28 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
Comment I think you mean a trademark (the circled 'R'); I've added a notice on the image page. grendel |khan 16:13, 28 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
Comment This seems a copyvio per COM:PACKAGING --Tagooty (talk ) 09:38, 30 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
Comment Does that mean that most pictures in Category:Pharmaceutical product packaging are in violation? See previous VIC nominations: Commons:Valued image candidates/12-08-18-tilidin-retard.jpg and Commons:Valued image candidates/Fetzima 1.jpg ; consensus seems to be that this is just text on a box, and any logos here are either very subtle or are de minimis . Should there be clearer policy? grendel |khan 12:36, 30 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
The VI examples cited above are from 2015 and 2017. A few months ago, I had promoted as QI someone's image of a similar box. The image was subsequently deleted as a packaging copyvio. I believe that "design" refers to the layout of the text, fonts, shapes, colours, etc., not only the logo. I'm not an expert in Commons copyright policies, let's hear views of @Archaeodontosaurus : and others. --Tagooty (talk ) 14:01, 30 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
Info @Ikan Kekek : This medicine seems to be from the United States of America as the company marketing this product seems to be fron the USA, according to the address on the box. --Contributers 2020 Talk to me here! 12:52, 31 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
Then no problem, and we can simply consider whether it's best in scope. -- Ikan Kekek (talk ) 14:19, 31 March 2024 (UTC) [ reply ]
