Reason	This admiral took part of the Crimean War and of the expedition of Mexico. He was the chief of the french mediterranean fleet. He wrote many books about the Navy, and was elected as member of the Académie des Sciences, and then, at the Académie Française. Grand-Cross of the Légion d'Honneur (see picture). Several ships were named after him. We had only a thumbnail, therefore, this one, by Eugène Pirou in 1883, restored by me, seems to be the best in scope.
