I changed the scope to Self-portraits of animals (it's a category the picture's in)—please let me know if it's OK now. odder (talk) 10:48, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Comment In the scope, there must be link to the category. Look to the other nominations in this page. Also, image must be geocodded. Halavar (talk) 11:15, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I suggest this scope: ''Macaca nigra'' (Celebes crested macaque)[[:category:Self-portraits of animals|Self-portrait]]. Also, image must be geocodded. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 15:24, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please review Commons:Valued image criteria. There is no hard and fast requirement for this to be geocoded, it is only when it is relevant. Additionally, lack of geocoding in this instance would go directly against "situations where the publishing of a location might be prejudicial (for example, privacy concerns, endangered species)." The Celebes crested macaque is hunted as a pest, and is a critically endangered species. Giving geocoding in this instance could very well lead to hunters locating this group of endangered monkeys and contributing to their endangered species status by killing them. If there was ever a reason for the ignoring of the geocoding "guideline", then this is definitely one of those instances. russavia (talk) 16:55, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
