@Charlesjsharp: Please consider: (1) The phases of flight are officially defined in the aviation industry. They are relevant to Wikimedia e.g. in an article on accident, the phase of flight is identified in the accident report and the editor may want an image showing the plane in that phase. The phases of flight are visually distinct. Hence they merit separate scopes. This is similar to multiple VI scopes for one species of bird. (2) The airline name is included following recent discussion on VI scope of a similar image. While the airline can be found from the various categories of the image, adding it in the VI scope makes the scope more self-contained. This repetition is similar to inclusion of the artist's name in the scope of a painting, even though the artist name can be found in categories of the image. --Tagooty (talk) 03:01, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
