Edit kind: I cannot upload the original photograph from https://ci.usembassy.gov/ambassador-jessica-davis-ba/ because the Abuse Filter keeps disallowing on it. Originally it is 15MB, but I resaved it so that it was the same scale but only 400KB and the Abuse Filter was fine with it and allowed me to upload that version.

Comments: The abuse filter doesn't say anything useful about why the edit was disallowed, which frustrated me as I had to do a lot of guess-and-check work to figure out how to upload a facsimile. Clay (talk) 16:44, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

Your attempted upload ran afoul of Special:AbuseFilter/160, which was named "Suspected embedded archive inside JPEG file (CSD#F9)" per Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive 61#Influx of files with embedded data (CSD#F9). It exists because some pirates were embedding copyvio content in jpg files starting in November 2016. See also Commons talk:Abuse filter/Archive 2019/08#Report by Jwh, in which the reporting party was successful in uploading after removing the metadata with "Properties / Remove Properties and Personal Information / Create a copy with all possible properties removed".
