Skål med drake, 1723-1735.
Nyckelord: Föremålsbild, Qingdynastin, keramik, drake, skål
Description
Under bottnens utsida kejsarmärke (nien hao) inom två koncentriska ringar. Bowl. Yongzheng.Qing-dynasty.Porcelain bowl decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with overglaze gildingYongzheng mark and period (1723-35)The motif of a dragon among clouds that covers a whole vessel, both inside and out, is common on 18th century wares (see also XI C.b.h.6). This bowl has a well-painted and gilded dragon, whose front section chases the flaming pearl of wisdom inside the bowl, while his rear body writhes over the rim to fly round the outside. Although the bowl bears a reign mark it is probably not an imperial piece, for the dragon has only four claws (not five) and the dragon design is not an official one.
