Description

Seamist Turquoise. Another new body for 1961, slightly shorter, more trim and squared up a bit. The Sedans and Hardtops got quite a bubble top roofline. The Super Sport (SS) option was introduced this year. Base model was still the Biscayne, mid spec: Bel Air and top the Impala, again with white band along the rear fender and triple round tail lights (double on Biscayne and Bel Air). Available in Sedan, 2 and 4 door Hardtops, Coupe and Wagon. Chevrolets were also produced in Australia by General Motors using modified American bodies from 1926-68.
