Description

Wimbledon White. 1968 saw a mild facelift on the 67 car; it now got front and rear side markers, the grilles behind the door and the bars from the Pony 'Corral' were gone and the steering wheel was changed to an energy absorbing one. Other options were now integrated air con, upper and lower consoles, turn signal hood and fold down rear seat in the fastback. Ford introduced a new big block for 1968, the 428 Cobra Jet. It was sold in either the GT500 Shelby or in this car, the Cobra Jet, it got the 428 in a GT body with Ramair hood scoop and black hood stripe. 2253 Fastbacks were made and 564 Hardtops. Engine; 335 bhp 428 Cobra Jet (R code). also installed in the Shelby GT500KR
