Summary edit

Description 1972 Ford XY Falcon 4WD utility. Fitted with period canopy. One of 432 developed by Ford Australia, using Jeep transmission and diffs. Since Ford were supplying Falcon six cylinder engines to the Brisbane Jeep assembly plant they figured they could adapt the running gear to the Falcon ute. The engine was inclined to the right to fit the transfer case. Development took so long they were not released until after the release of the XA Falcon in 1972. Taken at the 2011 New South Wales All Ford Day, held at Eastern Creek Raceway.
