Description

Lovely cars these. This is actually the first Taunus/ Mark V Cortina I've photographed- I always seem to find the MK IVs.

This one looks to have seen a lot of hard use in its more than 30 years of life, but is great to see someone still using it, when so many others are abandoned and left to rot. I think this brownish colour suits it rather well.

Looks good and original too, with the steel wheels, rather than later alloys which seem to have been retrofitted on so many Cortinas/ Taunuses. This is a 1.6 GL model, so is middling top spec, but has the smaller engine size.

The light fade on the rear lights is something I haven't seen before on these! Must have been constantly parked in the very bright sunshine of Greece.
