| Description |
JE977 A very late one - the VB Commodore which replaced it was released in 1978. Spotted in a McDonalds' car park in Nelson! Holden, Ford and Valiant only really introduced a new model every few years or so - in between, there would be facelifted versions, or ones with subtle tweaks. For example, the HQ started this shape off. Then came the HJ, which only had new double headlights and a different grille, and then the HX, and then the HZ. The current Commodore is VE II - only a revised VE. It seems awfully lazy, but I guess it would be cheaper than creating a whole new model. |
