Set 7 - Salt-making, Image 48 - A reservoir after evaporation – turning up the salt – salt fields Solinen Russia.

These stereographs were created and sold as a set for educational use by Underwood & Underwood, a maker of stereoscopic images and equipment. This set was produced between 1895, when the educational unit was established, and 1921, when the company was sold.

According to a similar publication by the same publisher,[1] these salt fields were located at the coast of the Black Sea in the Odessa area (today in Ukraine).
