English: A new correct map of Calbar River vulgarly call'd Calabar - and by the Portuguese Rio Real and also ye coast of Guinea about it, from Cape Formosa to Dory River. Drawn very exactly on the spot in the year 1699 by several pilots jointlySingle sheet. Engraved chart of part of the coast of Nigeria from Brass to Bonny. 'Vol V plate 27' top left hand corner; 'pag.463' top right hand corner. Half compass rose with rhumbs. Additional Places: Nigeria.

From vol.V of Churchill's 'Collection of Voyages and Travels', specifically in John Barbot's 'A Description of the Coasts of North and South Guinea; and of Ethiopia Inferior, vulgarly Angola; Being a New and Accurate Account of the Western Maritime Countries of Africa ...', published by Lintot and Osborn in London in 1746 (3rd ed). The Caird Library holds a copy of the 1752 edition of this work.
