Nederlands: Aalmoezeniers op huisbezoekDit schilderij toont een Aalmoezenier en een provoost op bezoek in het huis van een arme familie. Het schilderij geeft een zeldzaam kijkje in het interieur van een arme familie in de 17de eeuw. Boven de schoorsteen hangt een schilderijtje met musicerende, vrijende en gokkende personen. Het is niet waarschijnlijk dat dit werkelijk boven de schouw hing in een armeluis-woning. De schilder heeft hiermee een symbolische toespeling willen geven op het losbandig leven als oorzaak van armoede. Door de open deur rechts is een begrafenis te zien. Het vormt een verwijzing naar een andere taak van de Aalmoezeniers.
