"Met Toelichting" edit

Hoi Alf, hier nog is een voorbeeldje van hoe het fout gaat bij RMA images betreffende Met Toelichting File:Waterhoen_(Gallinula_chloropus),_RP-T-BR-2017-1-5-50.jpg en ook andere in deze serie zoals Watersnip (Gallinago gallinago), RP-T-BR-2017-1-5-23.jpg - Kun je daar ook een alarmbel opzetten? Op de frase "met toelichting" die op deze manier de grootst mogelijke onzin in de opmaak van de pagina's aanmaakt. Het valt op het eerste gezicht niet eens echt op, maar blijkt een storende fout voor wie het probeert te lezen. Jammer dat het nog steeds niet lukt ook de unordered lists in comma separated lists te vertalen. Zoals al blijkt uit het ontbreken van spaties (of komma's of punten) in de titels van de voorbeelden. Ik heb wel Pulover Macro Creator gedownload en bekeken, maar kan er nog niet zo veel mee. Het ziet er tamelijk ingewikkeld uit. Je hebt als ik het goed begrijp dus een macro gemaakt van een reeks handelingen? - Tussen haakjes: Was het je opgevallen dat de categorie Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum was teruggebracht van meer dan 170k tot een paar honderd? Nu staan er weer 43.266. Hoe hou je bij welke al zijn gedaan? Ik wachtte namelijk nog op wat nieuwe tekeningen / schetsboeken van Marius Bauer, die ik wel mooi vond. Maar het leek me een heel zoekwerk voor je om uit te vinden welke het RMA er ondertussen heeft bijgezet. Bedankt. M vr. groet Peli (talk) 20:02, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Dit alles gezegd hebbende is het probleem met de Toelichting makkelijk binnen een uurtje of twee voor alle instanties op te lossen, en dus geen reuze probleem. (In zoeken naar de quote: staat Toelichting bijna bovenaan dan is het waarschijnlijk fout; ze staan dan ook in de lijst van zoekresultaten meestal vrijwel bovenaan.) Het echte grote probleem blijft vooralsnog de incorrecte vertaling van 'volgende regel' in lijstjes naar spaties, kommas of punten. (komma-lijstjes hebben hier mijn voorkeur). Dit kan tot-nu-toe slechts per pagina geconstateerd en handmatig opgelost worden. Een klus die op die manier jaren kan gaan duren. Vooral irritant als het de namen van de makers betreft - deze vallen dan buiten de gevraagde zoekresultaten. Maar ook o.a. de reeksen aaneengevoegde trefwoorden leveren nog steeds bizarre 'poëzie' op, waarvoor een oplossing dringend gewenst is. Bedankt. Peli (talk) 10:41, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hoi Peli,

Ik had inderdaad de grote hoeveelheid verwerkte Rijksmuseum uploads gezien. Daarbij dacht ik, daar is iemand met veel geduld goed bezig geweest.

Het bijhouden van de nieuwe uploads is niet zo moeilijk, daar dat onder mijn eigen account allemaal bijgehouden wordt. Ik ha een lijst van het Rijksmuseum gekregen en deze bevat de tot dan toe beschikbare objecten op hun website. Dez lijst heb ik vergeleken met de al geuploade bestanden en ben nu bezig om door 360.000 web pagina's heen te lopen en de nieuw beschikbare objecten te uploaden. Vermoedelijk zijn het er in totaal rond de 100.000. Er is dus weer wat werk te doen. Dit duurt nog een maand of drie. Daarna loop ik weer door alle nieuwe uploads heen om e.e.a. te corrigeren. Mbt het tweede deel van je bericht is het me totaal niet duidelijk wat je bedoeld met de tekst vanaf 'de volgende regel'. Zou je dat van een voorbeeld willen voorzien zodat ik kan kijken wat ik daar aan kan doen?

"Volgende regel" slaat op de verspringing naar 2e 3e en 4e etc. regels in bulleted lijstjes zoals van dubbele titels, meerdere makers en series trefwoorden op de originele webpagina's van het RM. (klik de links: meer informatie) Dus eigenlijk hetzelfde als wat al besproken was. Namelijk: De unordered lists worden niet goed weergegeven als comma separated lists. Hier een voorbeeldje, (waar tussen haakjes ook nog een probleempje met "Techniek" aan de orde is: te vroeg opgepikt in leestekstje en vetgedrukt op commons, terwijl daar waar het wel als kopje moest gewone leestekst staat.) File:Spieghel der schrijfkonste, inden welcken ghesien worden veelderhande geschriften met hare fondementen ende onderrichti, BI-1885-1327.jpg . Vergelijk Vervaardiger met [1]. Daar zie ik een lijstje met bullets. De wonderlijke woorden die het oplevert zijn hier dus: Frisiusprentmaker, Mathamontwerper, Staten-Generaalopgedragen, Baljuwopgedragen, Oldenbarneveltopgedragen.
Ander voorbeeld: File:Dodelycke Uytgang van Syn Hoogheyt Fred. Hendrik Prince van Oranje etc. Anno 1647, NG-793-44.jpg "1647Begraeffenisse", "(I)naar", en onder Onderwerp drie reeksen wonderlijke samensmeltingen van onderwerpen, jaartallen en personen.
Opm. Het correctiewerk is een beetje als met vissen, leuk als je er zin in hebt en beet hebt, nog leuker als het dan een grote vangst is, tenminste als die met een massacorrectie gerepareerd kan worden. Het is ook een beetje als met muizen in een voorraadskamer: als je er eentje ziet, dan weet je zeker dat er nog wel minstens tien of twintig meer van zijn. Maar het 'succes' van het oplossen verleidt dan er ook toe om er veel langer aan te werken dan het oorspronkelijke plan was.
Ter verhoging van het genoegen (ironie voor: ter vergroting van de algemene BS-factor) staan dan in de bronnen bij het RM ook eens nog veel plaatjes op hun kop (vooral uit schetsboeken), of zijn ze overduidelijk verkeerd afgesneden (ontbrekende delen) of van series zijn plots alle beschrijvingen lukraak door elkaar gegooid. Mooie bouwpakketjes dus voor lange winteravonden rond Sinterklaas. Grinnik grijns.
Trouwens: die te krappe uitsnedes zijn te wijten aan hun webdesign en de plaatjes staan wel degelijk ergens achter de schermen in hun volle glorie. Bleek mij eens toen ik een keer een enkele link naar een TGA of TIFF bestand kreeg. Relevant om te weten. Dat is immers nog een hele categorie die uiteindelijk opnieuw bezien zou moeten worden. Category:Uncategorized images of the Rijksmuseum (Crappy crops) . Nogmaals bedankt en we zien wel. Immers zijn er velen die internationaal vanuit verschillende invalshoeken aan de categorisatie meewerken, soms met meer of soms met minder succes. Bedankt ook voor de toelichting werkwijze en het compliment, ik heb er best met plezier aan gewerkt. De AI bot moet verder het maar grotendeels gaan doen. Ik heb de uploads van Rijksmuseum stil gelegd en ga nog eens goed kijken of ik nog wat verbeteringen kan aanbrengen bij de rest van de uploads.

Zodra ik er weer klaar voor ben, zal ik je dat laten weten zodat je kunt zien of het een verbetering is of niet.

Hello, I recently came across the website of the Baden-Württemberg state archives, a german state. They have over 25,300,000 digitized objects online aviable - while the majority are documents (most will be in commons's scope too), there are also hundreds upon hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of photographs too, documenting all aspects of state history. All material is either public domain, and if not, the archive has the permission to distribute it under CC BY 3.0, so everything is compatible with commons. (see here, section "Nutzungsbedingungen Online-Katalog")
