Amsterdam; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 14 uit 1949.; Amsterdam groeit: er wordt begonnen met de uitvoering van het uitbreidingsplan Slotermeer. SHOTS: - kaarten en maquettes laten zien hoe een en ander gesitueerd is en er in de praktijk moet gaan uitzien; - in de Sloterpolder begint een graafzuiger met het weggraven van veen; het veen wordt via lange pijpleidingen afgevoerd en elders op het land opgespoten.
