  • Dansk: - En lille Pan-figur dansende på en skildpadde, der er anbragt på en baluster med arkantusblade og forneden tre skæggede masker, det hele hviler på en rovfugleklo. I almindelighed anses disse bronzer for at være olielamper, evt. blækhuse, men iflg. E. Zahle, 1931, p. 84, kan nærværende eksemplar ikke have været således anvendt, men må opfattes som "slet og ret en pyntelig Kuriositet". - Tilskrivningen til Riccio var allerede fremført af F. Beckett i Tidsskrift for Kunstindustri, 1892, p. 140, og den blev accepteret af Bode, Die Italienischen Bronzestatuetten der renaissance, I, 1907, p. 28, af E. Zahle, Italienske Statuetter i danske Samlinger, i K. Aa,XVI-XVIII, 1931, p 84 og af Harald Olsen, Italian Paintings and Sculpture, p. 105, pl. CXX C. (Se: Olsen 1980, p. 102).
