  • Dansk: Den version , der var udstillet på Den Frie Udstilling i 1922, var ifølge presseomtalen grøn, formodentlig en grønmalet gipsmodel (kat. 21: "En Havfrue. 1921. H. 85. B. 50."). Jf. omtalen i Social-Demokraten den 5. marts 1922: "Midt i den nye Sal dominerer en stor, grøn Havfrue, som Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen har forsynet med Hale og alt, hvad der hører en Havfrue til." citeret efter John Fellow, Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen: Havfrue, 1921. Udstillingspjece. København 2009).

Skulpturen blev opstillet i anlægget foran museet, sansdsynligvis kort efter erhvervelsen, og var opstillet indtil 1970: "Fra anlægget til magasin, underkælder 1970 p.g.a. forvitring og stærkt sværtet patina. Private fotos fra 1950 samt 1979 vedr. patinaskader i Komparativt Materiale (Museumsarkiv). Vasket og fotograferet 1990." (Notat af Bente Skovgaard 1990 på gl. kartotekskort).

Skulpturen var med på "Dansk skulptur 1850-2000" i Skulpturgaden på Statens Museum for Kunst 2003-04.
