Description
English: Annotated drawing of a schooner, 24 April 1843

No. 4 of 30 (PAH3772 - PAH3801)

The schooner is not identified, but the figurehead is an eagle which may suggest the vessel’s name. The way in which Schetky uses annotations may have been learnt from Schetky’s study of the van de Velde’s drawings. A group of these which belonged to him are now in the National Maritime Museum’s collection.

The drawing is annotated with colour notes in the upper left and lower right and dated in the upper right '24th April/1843'.
